Come on - those things are sold all over the Internet and they aren’t even real weapons. Just replica toys. And the officer was a much larger man - it wasn’t like Ferguson’s Michael Brown was attacking him.

You have no idea what you are talking about. No, there was not time to do both.

And for extra fun, also remember that according to Federal Courts, a baton to the head or face is a use of deadly force. Legally its exactly the same as shooting them.

We all enjoyed TJ Hooker, but you apparently think its real. What other tactics you recommending today? Shooting guns out of crooks hands?

She was full bore aggressive, to say the least. Within 5 feet, she raises up the ax and hops as if to strike. He backed up as far as he could, retreating several yards until hitting another cruiser.

He had no options left. He had to shoot or suffer serious injury.

You're either a troll, or seriously lacking in the critical thinking department. Someone comes at me with an axe and I have a gun, I'm not going to ask "Is that real?" And no one who isn't insane is either.

I saw that too. One more step and the swinging or throwing would have started.

That’s true. It also shows an intent to kill which the double tap doesn’t necessarily prove.

"I want to know why he did her like that," Ella Sweatt said.

Here's a clue, Ella. Laronda was approaching him while wielding a medieval-style ax.

He did what he had to do.

That woman was going to walk right up to him and hit him with that ax.

She did not stop, she did not put it down...just kept advancing. Sounds like she was telling him no each time.

Fantasy skeleton chaser warrior axe. Double stainless steel blades. Not just wall decor.

The policeman has a responsibility to HIS family to return home safely from work every nite.
He does NOT owe an axe-wielding maniac the benefit-of-a-life-forfeiting-doubt.

Shoot her too for wasting oxygen...
