Actually, I think OSX is a BSD derivative. I don't think it's Mach. Sword would know.

Apple OS X since Leopard is one of the five certified POSIX® compliant UNIX® 03. It is registered and permitted to use the UNIX® 03 Trademark by The Open Group, the organization which registers UNIX® 03.

So OS X is a BSD based UNIX® 03 which uses a MACH micro kernel.
