Next up they need to make everyone in the Navy an Admiral so their self-esteem doesn’t suffer from being a lower rank.

Part of a continuing effort to make uniforms gender neutral, along with the men ...
This change includes a zippered Dress jump suit in blue for both putative sexes ...
ngineman 2nd Class Shanice Floyd, a recruit division commander, ensures the proper fit of Seaman Recruit Megan Marte's white enlisted hat

Goofy uniforms were yet another reason I never considered enlisting in the navy.

Thirteen button trousers would work for both sexes. But who gives a rip.
To: smokingfrog
Looks better than the other covers that the women sailors were wearing.

A sailor with a Dixie cup, bell bottom trousers and a pea coat with the collar turned up was an iconic site in many Liberty ports throughout the world.

One of the stupidest and useless hats ever invented.
To: wastedyears
Don’t suppose enlisted sea’men’ would be wearing c*** caps
Didn’t Nellie Forbush wear a Dixie Cup cap?
Didn’t the Dixie Cups sing goin to the chapel of love?

Doesn’t matter what kind of hat they’re wearing when it’s their turn in the barrel.
