It is a DNS problem. Somehow, bad DNS information is being propagated through the nameservers.

You can dodge the issue by putting a DNS entry for FR in your hosts file.

It was more than a DNS issue.

Most of my FR links are stored with the numeric id, and they still would not work for the past two days.

I did this change in my hosts file and it worked. Thank you for the great instructions.

I managed to find and open the hosts file. How do I find FR’s IP address?
