Red wine not bad, depending on how much. I allow myself a glass or two each night. Usually after dinner with some dark chocolate (85% cacao or higher) which is a very bittersweet chocolate and very low sugar. I don't eat this chocolate for the taste but for the nutrients that it contains - but I don't mind the taste at all. In fact, I let the squares melt in my mouth. I also freeze my dark chocolate. I break the bars up into squares and have 2-3 squares a night. It's usually the only thing I eat after 7PM.
The beer I've eliminated entirely I'm sad to say. At least during my weight-losing phase. Maybe I can have it again once I get to my target weight.
I am making a tour of the cabernets these days, a glass or two about 5 nights a week. Enjoying it immensely. I have tried some of the dark chocolate and liked it. Perhaps I will pick up a bar?
