I think we get to that point on the 19th, perhaps the 26th of April.
Even if it takes a bit longer, he’s toast and he knows it.
By my calculations, he needs 91% of the remaining delegates.
If he loses 75 more the Trump, it’s over.
There are 846 more delegates out there according to the Green Papers.
We’ve pretty much seen the honest Conservatives abandon Ted by this point.
A Conservative WILL NOT support a floor fight at the Convention, and that is what Ted is all about now.
There’s no denying it.
I think you’re on the right track. I agree with you.
My numbers came from fivethirtyeight.com and include only the “pledged delegates” left. I am not completely sure tonight where the discrepancy between the two sites is coming from, but the point is the same. When Ted can no longer claim that he can get to 1237 before the convention many more people will realize that a vote for him is a vote that allows the establishment to pick the nominee.
Carl Rove and many others saying that maybe it would be best if a candidate other than Trump or Cruz was picked at the convention may be the best endorsement Trump has “received” to date.
