When Sheriff Clarke was asked if he supported the stance that Ted Cruz took on patrolling Muslim neighborhoods, he didnt even hesitate: Sure, and we already are, he said. And in New York theyre doing it under the Handschu agreement (a New York City board which allows for surveillance for possible radicals), which allows the NYPD and their demographics units to go anywhere in these Muslim communities that the public is allowed to go. They do not do rolling surveillance, they do not do rogue spying, Clarke added. But theyre looking for evidence of hot spots. Theyre looking for evidence of radicalization, those sorts of things. Thats just common sense and is an act of survival. To let these Muslim neighborhoods become no-go zones and Islamic hot spots is suicidal. Cruz got it exactly right and I am glad that Sheriff Clarke agrees with him.
From the Conservative Tribune:
When it comes to political correctness, Sheriff David Clarke doesnt play that game. The Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, sheriff has become a conservative icon for telling it like it is.
He did it again this week when he was asked by the Fox Business Networks Stuart Varney whether he supported Texas Sen. Ted Cruzs call for greater covert surveillance of Muslim neighborhoods to monitor for radicalization.
Ted Cruz has said, after the Brussels attack, hes in favor of patrolling Muslim neighborhoods in America, Varney asked. Youre a cop. You would do the patrolling, youd organize the patrolling. Would you do it?
I didnt know they were doing this already. Active patrols? Varney responded. Sure, the Handschu agreement in New York. Its a court-ordered monitoring. There was a complaint made about some of the NYPD tactics to surveil Muslim communities. So they came up with this court-ordered agreement its called the Handschu agreement, I dont know where the name comes from but it allows NYPD to conduct certain activities where we balance the protection of civil liberties and we help defend this country, this city, this nation, our communities, my community back home not through the Handschu agreement but helps us defend against plots against radicalization efforts. So, all the outcry that what Cruz suggested was Islamophobic and racist was just bull crap. They are already doing this to a certain extent. What lying hypocrites. Had they done a better job in San Bernardino, they may have been able to uncover (the terror plot) because the neighbors knew something was up, Clarke added. Clarke also pointed out that most Muslim communities would welcome the patrols to help with terrorism. Thank you Sheriff Clarke for telling the truth once again.
Make this guy head of the FBI
Clarke really would be a major asset in a larger Homeland Security role. He knows his stuff!
Sure, and we already are Stuart. And so is NY, with the Handschu agreement. Thats just common
sense and an act of survival. Don't get stuck on stupid."
Liberals believe that it is unAmerican to patrol Muslim communities and look for signs of radicalization. They believe the American thing to do is to open the borders and stick out necks out to have our heads chopped off.
I wonder if it’s all the drugs Dems do. They sure have some half baked ideas on just about everything.
Very cool. Thanks for the pic.
Isn’t that great that Cruz now agrees with President Trump?
Yes, good to see more coming around to Trump’s thinking about Islam. He took all the heat for bringing it up, now the followers are daring to speak up.
How long did the firestorm last when he first mentioned the problem with unrestricted Islamization and the dangers. Meanwhile, the others were whimpering and dissembling, feigning outrage for Trump saying what they were secretly thinking but too cowardly to say it.
But the initial reaction was to attack Trump. Then the critics had to admit that Trump was right regarding Muslims. If not for Trump, then several topics would not even be discussed, and there would be no holding back PC’s assault on the First Amendment.
To be fair, Sheriff Clark was an outspoken conservative long before Trump became a well known presidential candidate.
Yes, they agree with each other and Ted Cruz on this.
It is not one or the other on this.
It is remarkable the impact Trump has had as an amateur putting it all together on the fly.
His ideas tower about all the rest.
One of my favorite incidents was when some smarmy AH sneeringly asked what HE would do about ISIS. He said bomb the oil supply routes (no one even knew it had sources of oil revenue). Sure enough a couple of days later Hussein allowed the military to start bombing them t the howl of the liberals.
He is also outing who has guts and who does not. Basically those who condemn his for having his rights violated are gutless cowards.
Dem policy is always about how it makes you feel. Results don’t matter at all, even if the policy is not only ineffective at its intended goal, but even if it does the OPPOSITE of their intentions. Example: welfare has destroyed the black family and black crime is epidemic because of it, yet liberals will go apoplectic at the mere mention of reforming it.
Clark is not my concern; he is the only democrat I would happily vote for.
My concern is the gutless Republicans who condemn the man who brought this and other critical issues to the fore and claim he propagates violence, racism, division and hatred. THOSE people are my concern, the ones who give lip service to constitutional rights then attack Trump for causing the Leftists to riot at his rallies.
Yep, he has been a lone voice of reason for quite a while now.....he also has some really cool hats.
I don't know what to make of this statement. Is he implying that there are areas where non muslims are prohibited from entering?
Bbut, the mozlums just want to be alone with their goat right. Maybe we should give them privacy.
I’ve heard of no go zones in other countries, but if we have them here, they need to be taken out.
