I’m surprised the software didn’t render the links alive.
Found the need to copy and past in a new address in a new tab
Sorry, for the inconvenience. Attempting to learn HTML.
The odd thing is that if I copy and paste some of your links into a reply, the preview renders them alive.
One UN-explainable.
These are posted on my site at Yuku and when posting them there had to break the link in order that the address only (NOT the actual video pic} would be seen. Really did not wish to embed the link into the post. Prefer visitors travel to You Tube to watch rather than the personal site.
Wonderful! Should be required viewing to calm some of the strained tempers ‘round these parts. :)
Nice to hear it has served its useful purpose. :-/ I agree :-))
In the midst of winter, with no color, depression is common. This is used, personally, taking the place of the ‘Fantasia” movie on the VHS. It once was the ‘Go To’ for this purpose.
Thanks for your reply. Hopefully the HTML knowledge will begin to ‘stick’ to the little grey cells.
Thank you for the inspirational videos.
I love traveling south this time of year. Southerly destinations are weeks and weeks ahead of us in New England. Longwood gardens [for me] is a big treat.
By the time I get home, spring and mud season has taken hold in earnest. So, it’s like having two springs.
Oh, if you have any HTML questions, just ask....folks here are great that way.
Thank you, Daffy,
You might have seen this video and this site would not be of interest - this is the video of Longwwod Gardens in spring bloom.
As to Japanese Gardens - Never having been to the nearest local botanical garden - which will be visited when “I get around to it”. Years ago sometime in the 50s the family visited the city of San Antonio. There along the famous river walk was the shell structure stage for local festivities and the seating area across the river on the other side. Also remember visiting the beautiful Japanese gardens at that time. The one and only time those oriental beauties were ever seen. They were beautiful and the water features refreshing.
This should be the live link to take you back to Longwood whenever you need a respite. They seem do have done a good deal of work to bring them into ‘modern’ times. Beautiful garden. PS-this is being saved for future reference as well. Thanks again.

Gracious! What a wonderful treat! Worth a trip from anywhere. ;)
I am always dazzled by the orchids in the Conservatory. Breathtaking doesn’t describe it.
Enjoy!! I certainly did Another respite added for those days that get us down. All that is needed is the fragrance :-))
Until you mentioned the garden itself by name, had never heard of it. From what was seen, it is a landmark in the US and the renovation was very extensive with in the park. All the water works alone was a remarkable feat. Spouse does that type of work (landscape irrigation) so a bit familiar with what it entails. The pumps alone are very temperamental.
Thank you for the addition
The DuPonts certainly left their mark with gorgeous gardens. Especially when the rhodies & azaleas in April bloom. Words cannot describe it. It's considered a *wild* garden. Also another DuPont estate which includes a super collection of rooms of rare American furniture [1630 to 1860.].
I love this little area of the country. Chadds Ford, and the Andrew Wyeth museum is great....pretty setting...not so much in the way of gardens and formal planning. But the work of the Wyeths needs no apologies. :)
Spectacular!! WOW! The setting is similar to one in Big D. The area called Highland Park. A beautiful community with a deep gorge, water running thru which ends in a serene pool with paddle boats, possibly fish, picnic tables, and gentle solitude. Not far from Love Field at one time the only large airport in the city (before DFW was built) The name is Bachman Lake. When in high school, we’d put a quilted comforter in the car, and travel out to Bachman, lay on the grass knolls, stare up at the skies above and watch the jets fly onto the runway. A VERY CHEAP high. The jet belly would fly over you (seeming like inches away) The sounds, of course, were deafening. But the sights at night something always remembered.
Checking out your profile page to find you are an avid dog lover. Winchester’s pic is adorable. Our dogs not nearly as high class LOL Mutts! and thru the years we’ve had in the interval at least 7. After the 7th succumbed due to a stroke the decision was agreed upon he would be our last. First, age creeping up on us 2-leggers and IF we were to depart leaving our 4 legged friends where would they be taken in. And SECOND after losing 7 just had no heart strong enough to out last the 8th.
Gene Wilder -The Silver Streak! Funny funny man- always reminded me of my brother in appearance.
Leonard Cohen -excellent album by him and one played often. The tune ‘Suzanne”; the album: Leonard Cohen

A poem for ‘OUR TIME’
THE OAK TREE
A mighty wind blew night and day
It stole the oak tree’s leaves away
Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark
Until the oak was tired and stark
But still the oak tree held its ground
While other trees fell all around
The weary wind gave up and spoke.
How can you still be standing Oak?
The oak tree said, I know that you
Can break each branch of mine in two
Carry every leaf away
Shake my limbs, and make me sway
But I have roots stretched in the earth
Growing stronger since my birth
You’ll never touch them, for you see
They are the deepest part of me
Until today, I wasn’t sure
Of just how much I could endure
But now I’ve found, with thanks to you
I’m stronger than I ever knew

Some of these links (poem/game) might have even been posted here prior. Like a tyke walking down a beaten path, when something of interest is found, it is plucked and put in the pocket to add to the ‘treasure chest’ Such is life as we wander thru it. A small smooth stone, an ancient molded glass pop bottle that once held Orange Crush. A piece of history. And history is rich in story and memories.
Enough. Have work to do and dropping in to say thanks ever so much for the post which led me to a new ‘Secret Garden’ :-)) Look forward to visiting and plucking still more treasures from your last post.
Another treasure...not far from me in Hartford, CT. Best visited in June. Elizabeth Park; when the wealthy Victorians preserved spaces to share
Hey Mr.Hussein ...this is how you do the tango.
Beaversmom...this one is for you
Yes, VK, we're big Lab fans...but I love most all dogs...some the *best* dogs I've had were mutts. Gotta love 'em
When making posts, I’ve encountered that if I put in any other HTML codes in my post like paragraph (p) or break (br), I have to then do ALL my links and pictures in html, too, in order for them to show up correctly.
Thanks. :)
Yeah. Once the software sees HTML coding, it requires it in all the rest of the post. If you don’t put in HTML, it goes WYSIWYG.
