Cruz Campaign in Meltdown Mode as Heidi Goes MIA, Cruz fails to Sue or Actually Deny Cheating Rumors
Right Side Broadcasting ^ | 3/29/2016 | RSBN

RSBN is doing its best to keep you updated in real time about what certainly seems to be the effective end of the Cruz campaign, as the multiple-mistress scandal continues to linger and fester.

As of this afternoon, March 29, the Cruz campaign appears to be spinning out of control, if not already finished. It may be just a matter of time.

Not that Big Media is particularly doing much to do anything but bury the story. The trumpophobic media of course is relying on Cruz to remain in the race as its last hope of possibly preventing Trump from receiving the 1,237 delegates required for the Republican nomination.

The big news of the last day or so, make no mistake, is that Heidi Cruz has gone MIA. She canceled her New Jersey campaign events that were scheduled this week, including a fundraiser in Morris County scheduled for Wednesday.

Additionally, she has not tweeted since Friday, the day after the Cruz-infidelity story broke in the National Enquirer.

Additionally, yesterday Cruz added suspicion by hamhandedly attempting to avoid a question on the infidelity issue. Instead, he figuratively hid behind the skirt of Carly Fiorina.

When Cruz was asked by a reporter from DailyMail.com yesterday to tell “on the record that you’ve never been unfaithful to your wife,” Fiorina awkwardly jumped in, with a subsequent exchange going as follows:

Fiorina: “If I may…” Reporter: “No, I’m sorry. I asked the Senator that question.” Fiorina: “Well, I’m gonna comment, OK?” Reporter: “Do you have first-hand knowledge of his marriage?” Fiorina: “I’m gonna comment. This is an example of the media playing to Donald Trump’s tune.”

Fiorina then tried her best to change the subject, saying “Donald trump is a serial philanderer, by his own admission. And in a week when we have had a terrorist attack in Brussels, a shooting on Capitol Hill, the president of the United States in the baseball stands with Raul Castro, and insisting that he be photographed in front of a portrait of Che Guevara with the two Castro brothers, we are talking about a scurrilous, ridiculous piece in the National Enquirer. Why do you all dance to Donald Trump’s tune? Let’s talk about the issues, please.’

Given another attempt to answer the specific question, Cruz responded with “Sir, I recognize that you love going into the gutter with these kind of … [several parties talking at once].”

Cruz did say, thereafter, that “the National Enquirer story is complete garbage. It is total lies. It was planted by Donald Trump’s henchmen.”

Cruz of course was using legalese there, which could have of course referred to any National Enquirer story. He did not answer the reporter’s actual question about his faithfulness.

As Trump emphasized during his appearance on The Savage Nation yesterday, it was Marco Rubio’s campaign which had been peddling the Cruz-mistress story for some time, and Trump himself had nothing to do with its promulgation. In fact, Trump (who of course wasn’t there 24/7 and thus cannot be entirely sure that there was no infidelity) expressed to Savage that he thought the allegations were “garbage.” Note, as was the case with Cruz also using the term “garbage” to describe the allegations, the use of the word “garbage” does not necessarily mean that one thinks the allegations are untrue.

Meanwhile, the Cruz campaign has resorted to attempting to deflect attention from its candidate’s meltdown by playing up the ridiculous-to-the-point-of-almost-hilarious charge of “battery” in Jupiter, Florida against Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. This “battery” consisted of a slight inadvertent brush-up against publicity-seeking, now-former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields when both parties were on a crowded stage. Cruz’s campaign manager Alice Stewart attempted to exploit the bogus charge against Lewandowski, saying, apparently not jokingly: “Unfortunately, this abusive behavior seems to be part of the culture of the Trump campaign.”

As for the division of the Cruz campaign know as The Glenn Beck Program, Beck said yesterday that he’ll drop Ted Cruz “like a hot potato” if the sex scandal allegations turn out to be true.

Beck added that “But if you’re a serial guy, like five of them during this campaign, that’s insane, a totally different person han we think Ted Cruz is…” But, laughingly, Beck pointed out that Cruz “doesn’t have enough game. We’re not talking Tom Cruise. It’s Ted Cruz, have you watched him?”

Beck has taken in recent weeks to referring to Cruz as the “anointed one,” beseeching Christian voters that it’s their religious due to vote for Cruz.

Some Cruz supporters are certainly troubled by the way the story is playing out. According to Tanna, one now-former Cruz supporter: “He’s so done. His entire campaign has been based on being a moral elitist being above and more GODLY than the rest of us and I took the bait. Shame on me. Last time I fall for that preacher crap.”

In sum, whether the adage that “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” applies to the Cruz-infidelity story is, for now, for you to decide. We at RSBN suspect the soap opera known as the Cruz Campaign will be providing a final answer very shortly.

While the Trump and Cruz campaigns (along with the media of course) are wallowing in the gutter, Mrs. Clinton goes about calmly inching towards the Democrat nomination and eventual election as the first woman president, after which the destruction of America will continue apace.

“Cruz can thank his lucky stars that Rush, AKA The Mayor of Realville, has neglected to report on the Infidelity Story.”

I think a mainstream revelation of the suspected Cruz womanizing would be just too disruptive. Too many media people including Rush would become disoriented.

The reports I’ve read in the media is that Rubio’s campaign was the one pushing the Cruz story

this idea that he should have already filed suit is asinine. That story was carefully loaded with weasel words. It doesn’t say that Ted Cruz cheated, so there is virtually no actionable legal claim against the National Enquirer. A lawsuit might be a good political strategy, but at this juncture it would be laughed out of court.

He could still threaten to sue, even if he thought he had no chance, just to keep up appearances. But has he even done that???

If I were accused unjustly by the Enquirer, you'd better believe I would be threatening a lawsuit, regardless of whether I thought I could win.

Incidentally, after that bizarre interview with Teddy and Mommy Dearest last night, I can't believe there are folks out there who still think Cruz is innocent. But if they're interested in some dehydrated water, I've got plenty to sell. ;)

Dunno if that info is available.

However, the truth will probably disappoint you as it will likely be nothing so titillating as hush money for some motel tryst of Cruz's.

More likely the 500k was for some kind of early electoral splitting scheme by a Cruz PAC.

The press is now all for Cruz and all against Trump. If Cruz wins the nomination, or steals it, the press will bring it all back up.

That rumbling sound Cruz is hearing is his evangelical base cracking and falling away. Sorry but nobody but nobody respects a phony and a hypocrite however well rehearsed.Even Cruz’s core supporters realize that the only politicians to survive this type of scandal was Bill Clinton and perhaps Grover Cleveland.Cruz is no Bill Clinton and no one remembers Grover Cleveland. Hart, Edwards, Weiner, Spitzer, and many others initially denied, scowled, whined and ultimately went down. Face reality and say goodbye to Cruz. Ironically the two young gifted , intellectual conservatives who should have been the future of the Republican Party and stalwart leaders will probably never be elected to another high office.

PMSNBC is covering the story ... but that one barely counts.

Oh, yes it is. FB and other sites are full of former Cruzers who are saying they have had enough of him and are going to vote for Trump. One link had over 1000 comments. I admit I only read about 200 of them but they were really against Cruz. I looked up some of them on FB just to see if they were truly Cruzers before and they were. Before this even came out, people were calling him a liar and a cheater. I did not understand the cheater part but maybe they had heard rumors. A lot of them said his remarks blaming Trump for the Chicago mess turned them off. Go to newspapers and read the comments on their sites.

Rush has trouble threading the needle on such issues. If it can’t be wrapped up with a bow in a single segment he avoids it. Perfect example is when he tried to ‘put to rest’ the Cruz Go8 “poison pill” charade. Rush went on and on for two or more segments, in the end making it sound completely unbelievable.

So Cruz is now giving the FEC the requested information in regards to the $500K to the Carley campaign?

The FEC wouldn't request information from Cruz about the Keep The Promise I PAC 500K transaction because Cruz has nothing to do with the PAC.

Furthermore, the FEC did ask the Treasurer of that PAC, Jacquelyn James for additional information about that transaction way back in September. So the request wasn't because of the phone sex scandal.

Trump isn’t talking about the story, except to say that he had nothing to do with it. Cruz is accusing Trump of being behind it without a shred of evidence. And as noted he won’t address the issue directly.

Exactly. When people consistently and unrepentantly choose sin and evil, they usually deny it in one of two ways:

1) scapegoating

2) renaming the evil as something good, such as calling homosexuality "an alternative lifestyle"

Cruz has chosen the first route.

LOL You are not here in FL then.
Trump won two of the swing states VA, FL.
He got all but one county here in FL.

Cruz came third in 3 swing states VA, FL, OH,. He failed to win a single county in VA, FL.

MMMM I wonder who is stronger and can get out the vote?

If you’re demanding to see all the evidence up front and plainly exposed, I should remind you that the ocean that the National Enquirer swims in isn’t an American court room where Ted Cruz is under indictment. The National Enquirer does what it can to stay OUT of court rooms.

It’s hard to say where the evidence is right away, except to say that it’s locked up at the National Enquirer. They’re absolute professionals at this sort of lurid stuff: They sit on stories like this and let it dribble out over the long term so as to sell more National Enquirers at the supermarket checkout counter magazine racks, you know.

Cases in point: The National Enquirer didn’t just blast Bill Cosby, John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods, and Jesse Jackson into orbit on the first story of infidelity and prostitutes and sex tapes and children out of wedlock. No, no: They let it drip out in metered fashion, allowing every single one of those suckers I mentioned above deny, deny, deny, and obfuscate through their media lawyers and then the National Enquirer would hit the news racks with a little more salacious information... a little more... a little more... for as long as they could make money off their little media circus. The finale is when it all goes into meltdown mode when their target finally has to admit the story was true all along.

If you want that stained blue dress, you’re going to have to wait. Hey, come to think of it, that’s a good point you made that supports my explanation: How long did you have to wait to learn about the blue dress Lewinsky saved from her encounters with Bill Clinton? It was exactly these kinds of stories that made FreeRepublic what it is today, you know. The Monica Lewinsky story brought so many here to FR in January 1998.

Hey, I like Ted Cruz — I like him very much, in fact — and I really don’t care a bit about if he was poking around outside of his marriage... but any of his staunch supporters who insist that this infidelity story is a fabrication ought not bet anything they’re willing to lose on on him being vindicated.

Cruz can thank his lucky stars that Rush, AKA The Mayor of Realville, has neglected to report on the Infidelity Story.

If Rush was "for real", he would have reported on the "dog" of a presser Carly and Cruz held.

It basically sunk Cruz in any number of ways.

He has denied the story, called it false and garbage more than once. What else do you want him to say? You want him to keep dwelling on this to the detriment of his campaign?

Has Cruz ever said, "I have never cheated on my wife Heidi" or "I have never had sex with anybody since Heidi and I got married?"

I am a Trump supporter and, granted, don't read every story about Cruz. He has said the story is "not true" and called it "garbage" and said it was "planted by Trump's henchmen."

Unless he says something like a specific, non-lawyerese denial, this story is going to follow him around like a puppy dog.

If Cruz has, in fact, issued a specific denial like this, can you give a link?
