Former Cruz communications director Rick Tyler says the National Enquirer story that charges Ted Cruz with having multiple extramarital affairs is categorically false. Tyler, an MSNBC contributor, told the network Donald Trump is friends with the CEO of the Enquirer.
"This story has been shopped to the Washington Post and Donald Trump has a relationship with David Pecker, the CEO of National Enquirer and has been on the campaign trail since AIPAC," Tyler said Friday.
"I can tell you with 100% certainty that this story is false," Tyler said on MSNBC. "I have traveled to at least 25 different states with ted cruz, spent an enormous amount of time with him in all different situations and he is a man of integrity and he's a man of decency and i can't imagine there's even one shred of that story that holds any weight or is true whatsoever."

When Tyler was hired by Cruz in Feb 2015, Amanda Carpenter was on her way out with only a few months overlap her leaving early July. Tyler wouldn’t know much about those two.
What was the $500,000 PAYOFF for?

Good grief, my brother has a friend who knows Carpenter's next door neighbor's hairdresser who said she overheard of the affair from the daughter of the guy who works on the family car who saw someone that looked a lot like Ted Cruz in an airport several years ago walking with a woman that could have been Carpenter.....
The alleged affair happened many years ago and the story of the multiple affairs has been shopped for more than 6 months now. You'd think that the media or candidates opposition research would have come up with one scintilla of evidence to support their lying lies. But they haven't. Even Trump with his billions has been unable to drag $20 through a trailer park to come up with someone who will claim they had an affair with Cruz.
But you have Enforcer for Trump and that's good enough for you. Pathetic.

The revolving door that these DC hacks cycle through is amazing. They ought to pair him up with Lyin Brian Williams for the Whopperpalooza hour.
It is false because after months of digging no one has produced a shred f evidence. The fact that no one would release it but a good friend of Trump, a publication that endorsed Trump, and that the only source offered is none other than Trump surrogate Roger Stone, just proves that Trump is in this up to his teeth, hair and eyeballs.
And risk being sued into bankruptcy? Absurd. If the Enquirer didn't have the goods on Lyin' Ted, his nasty behavior would have remained under the radar. Lyin' Ted's blustering attempts to accuse innocent parties of "smearing" him just makes him appear all the more guilty.

Katrina Pierson does have a record for shoplifting. That indicates some instability, but I didn’t get that from the Cruz camp. There is absolutely nothing in Cruz’s persona or character that indicate that he is a womanizer.
If Cruz was guilty of coming on to her, she would surely have said so when asked about the affair.
I’m still waiting for that source that directly quotes Amanda Carpenter’s family member of confirming an affair.

This story was printed by Trump’s good friend’s sleazy rag just at the time Cruz pulled ahead of Trump in the next primary state. No evidence was produced and Roger Stone is the only source listed. Trump is definitely trying to capitalize on the rag that endorsed him. Not gonna work and may back fire big time.
Blaming Trump means he is delivering talking points has no credibility.
