A hilarious text mix-up about a newborn led to a sweet moment between strangers.
A woman who intended to text family members about the birth of her baby accidentally texted a complete stranger.
...
Williams congratulated the family and told them they had the wrong number, but the texts kept coming.
...
Instead of just ignoring the texts, Williams replied: Well I dont know yall but me and the boys will be thru to take (a) picture with the baby.
...
Williams came through on the promise. He and his brother showed up at the hospital to see the family and the baby, and they even brought gifts with them.

Thank you for posting this!
Aw that’s sweet. We need more nice stories like this on FR.
#3 was to you. PA Engineer, I share your feelings.
What a great story.. people showing kindness toward their fellow man. How refreshing.
Thanks for posting- this is the cutest thing I’ve seen in a long time.
This was nice. The couple is very lucky that the wrong kind of men didn’t respond to that tweet. Sometimes real and lasting friendships are formed just by a random act.
Wonderful story. Thank You, so much for posting.
Not me. exDemMom posted it.
Two Wise Men arrive to see the newborn. I hope they came bearing gifts, or gift certificates for the parents.
I bet someone could write a very amusing book consisting of texts to wrong numbers. Plenty of people would share their stories.
I love this story.
No matter the bad news, people are mostly good.
:-)
This is the most ridiculously beautiful story that I’ve read in weeks. Sometimes, stuff like this happens and you can’t help but think that God is winking at us and letting us know “See? There are good people still!”
Totally cool!
I got a phone message the other day at 5 am with someone saying it was about “person’s name” and I have someone in my close family with that name. I was terrified they had passed. Luckily it too was just a wrong number.
Indeed. When I saw this feel-good story, I just had to share it with my FRiends!
You are welcome!
It was certainly worth the effort to figure out how to post a thread in order to share this “random act of kindness,” to quote the bumper-sticker.
Yes, the text could have easily gone to some violent nut-case. But it went to a couple of nice young men who decided to do something about it.
They brought gifts, but the story did not specify what the gifts were.
