The telltale give-away is to look at their in forum participation.
On many of them if you go down the 250 posts, you’re back into 2008-2013.
One guy today that was one of the most vicious had only been posting against for a few weeks.
You go down below that and you’re quickly into 2013.
This leads me to wonder if these aren’t accounts on file with the RNC, and they use them during periods like this for disinformation.

I’ve been thinking the same thing, but the ones I’ve tracked down seem to have had a literal blitz of post in the last months. I go back three pages or so and it winds up being only two weeks ago.

I refer to those as Zombies. If I find a Zombie account I will usually post a comment on congratulating them on their recovery from a long illness.
I use to keep track (up to 17), but gave up. Some are far more egregious and only appear at election time.

I remember checking for large gaps some years ago. Sometimes even no comments for a long, long time after signup date.
Of course I have a large gap myself but not bceause I’m on anyone’s payroll!
