At least they don’t charge for them anymore
Apple hasn't charged for these point updates ever. . .
Apple hasn’t charged for increment updates in many years, and stopped charging for major updates a few years ago.
Still, I’ve been in the beta program for both iOS and OS X for a few steps along the way - and even with those very regular updates, they are not as frequent as the Windows-based PCs and their standard crazy update schedule.
