“Organic just means carbon based. All our food is organic. The term has been coopted by wannabe hippies.”
Very True. I totally agree with you.
Oh you certainly have the right to buy organic. Whether you have inclination is another matter.
Like Yaelle said in post 8, Thick skin vs thin skin. If something grows underground like potatoes or carrots, there won’t be any pesticide. With berries and leafy greens there could be pesticides or organic risks too. With organic farming there is the risk of things like ecoli and lysteria.
I have always viewed the majority of organic crap as catering to the psychosomatic crowd, those gullible and afraid of hidden dangers everywhere.
“When 1/3 of the world is starving I have no right”
Stop right there. Yes, you do have the right.
First off, 1/3 of the world isn’t starving because of total production capacity is less than needed.
Second off, even if it were, you have every right to buy whatever someone else desires to produce.
Correct. Using the accurate term “pesticide-free” is only one more syllable.
“Oh you certainly have the right to buy organic. Whether you have inclination is another matter.”
I left out the word “moral” as in I have no moral right to steal. Buying organic for the faux moral high-horsery of saving the planet is sinful
A lot of people buy it for health reasons.
I like how the author says, “I would never tell anybody what to do...”
BUT, HERE’S MY ARTICLE!!
Is bacon with diced pepperoni organic? Mmmmmmmmm
Organic foods is based on peoples ignorance of science. They are certainly free to buy it and spend the money if they want however.
Here is one voice that speaks some reason and fact to the topic :

Chipotle is not organic.
“organic” is a total marketing device & if food is presented to libtard it is tainted if it not organic
Cue for a funny hitler parody here: runs 3:37mins

I have to pretty much eat what’s available; do so & am
thankful for what I get. - I grew up with Momma cooking
white beans, boiled potatoes & cornbread one day; then
repeat the next day. Ate candy pretty often. People are
majoring too much on their diets these days. I’m over-
weight. So, shoot me I guess. Us “fatties” aren’t
given much respect. - I’d even feel sorry for Hitler-y
being as fat as she is; but can’t bring myself to do so.
Consider any veggies you buy picked by seasonals, are fertilized with human poop. That contain worse bugs than yours.
you know, I’m glad you brought up Chipotle... frankly I believe someone is sabotaging them. Look at the published evidence on the web. I think someone is trying to take down the brand

Actually, it was coopted from the hippies by the Feds. It is now a trademark for license from the US government.
I have spent the last 35 years in California agriculture. I do both organic and conventional but mostly conventional. Organic is one thing to me. Value added. Like a Sunkist orange or a Valdia onion it has an added value. I will continue doing it as long as you pay for the added value. I will farm naked in the moonlight if you pay me enough to do it.
There are no demonstrable health benefits.
