God speaks words in many ways including concrete illustrations.
Maybe you need to see gore before you really know what the gore described in the bible means, for example.

Does the preacher in your church ever borrow from something that isn’t the bible to make an illustration of something that is in the bible?
If so, is he committing the same sin of which you are accusing others?
God also indicates that His attributes are “clearly revealed through what He has created.” Right away this also leaves room for the world of things outside the bible to be used as witnesses.
