That is an accurate assessment, but I am still trying to go out of my way to be respectful. One of my best friends is still clinging to the hope that Cruz will be able to reach the magic number before the convention. Last night on Hannity Cruz was claiming the same thing and I found it to be very disingenuous. I was disappointed that even Rush is still going along with this charade. Cruz is smart enough to know better. At this point he is being used as a tool by the GOPe to deny Trump the nomination and he knows it. Is he foolish enough to think that Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and the others will try to steer the nomination in a brokered convention to him? I am sure that a lot of backroom promises have been made, but still?

There are many supporters from Texas who were all in with him and probably voted in the senatorial run.

I think some of them just refuse to see the deception. It is a hard thing to come to grips with. Those will take time.

There are also confirmed operatives that are bundlers for his campaign. I am very disappointed with them. Many were Freepers in very good standing.

Then there are the ops......

As far as Cruz making the claim on Hannity that he still has a chance, I agree. That’s just disingenuous to the max, but I don’t know what else he can do at this point, but continue to appear confident.

Ted’s just in too deep to admit the obvious to others, even if it’s starkly apparent to him. He’s made far too many promises, accepted far too many endorsements, gotten far too much financial backing from influential donors, and raised expectations far too high of what he can achieve.

It’s gotta be like Groundhog Day in his life right now. Every day he wakes up, and he’s still in the same horrifying nightmare. He knows he can’t win, but he can’t quit, either.
