Rockford Files makes so much of today's TV fare pale in comparison!
Rest in peace Joe.

Rockford Files
One of my all-time favorite shows. As you noted, they haven't come close to making shows this good in a very long time.

84’s a long life. He looked like he was ready to lock up back in the 70s, especially when hollering at Rockford.

So true. This was a stand up guy, too, like all the players in the cast. Jim Garner was a great guy as well as a good leader and actor.

He helped make Rockford into a good series.
RIP Dennis Becker / Mr Santos.
Wonder if Peggy will be attending. Assuming she is still alive.
That leaves Angel Martin.

A great character actor.
He's another one of those "That guy who was in that thing" actors. A great career.

Rockford Files is one of the best TV shows ever made.
Some other NBC/Universal shows have their cue and incidental music out there. Rockford should have gotten that. Other shows of the same vintage with less of a run have seen release. I tend to buy them.
I’m not much of an audio whiz kid but someone else out there apparently did that with a few episodes of The Streets Of San Francisco and Charlie’s Angels. They don’t have the cleanest edits but I appreciate the concept.
Ironside has a lot of good cue music too.
Still a sad day. RIP Joe.

Im pretty sure we saw every episodeHere's a fun game my wife and I played on a 10 day vacation in the Bahamas years ago;
One at a time, name a cop show from TV. You'll NEVER run out of titles. And shows like Rockford Files count!
To: wally_bert
Great show and great character. But it required a suspension of disbelief. - he always was impatient and annoyed with Rockford, even though Rockford always helped him solve the case. Given Rockfords track record, you’d think Becker would always be glad to see him
To: Kartographer
Rockford Files comes on MeTV every weekday.
My area also gets Antenna TV.
It is thoroughly depressing how much better television was 30 and 40 years ago as compared to the shows on today.

Yes Angel Martin, from Jim Rockfords known associates file
