Two thugs thought they had an easy score when they saw a single man eating in his car in a Whataburger parking lot in Dallas, Texas. They were very, very wrong.
Two armed robbers picked the wrong victim in northwest Dallas.
Police said they approached a man eating his dinner in the parking lot of Whataburger at Inwood Road and Lemmon Avenue and tried to rob him around 1 a.m.Thursday morning.
The man was an off-duty, but armed security guard. He shot and killed one of the robbers. The other ran away.
Armed robbers fully expect compliance. If a trained victim with a plan of action feigns compliance before suddenly and smoothly responding, they quite often overwhelm the criminals both physically and mentally.

One less vote for Hillary.
Good. Too bad the other pos got away.
Now if stricter gun laws had been in place, this ne... oh wait nevermind. /sarc
A: No, with some exceptions. Open carry is not legal in Texas until January 1st, 2016, but you may open carry on your own property, in the commission of a sporting activity (competition, shooting ranges, etc.), and while engaged in hunting.
Moot point, the date in question has passed.
Close to Constitutional as any, but the Constitution does not bar freed felons or crazies from the recognized right. Anyone who should not be armed should not be running around loose.
Sitting there thinking "Make my day"?
"Hey, Charlie, cleanup in the parking lot."
The dead guy was just starting to turn his life around too.
He planned on enrolling in college this spring and had indicated he was going to marry the mother of his children. He was an aspiring musician who was looking forward to a bright future in the music industry before senselessly being gunned down.

LOL
where in Florida there are none in the Tampa Bay area...
Ocala for sure.
Not really. In TX, open carry of a handgun is only authorized if you have a concealed carry permit (outside of certain situations - private property, hunting, etc...). You can't just strap one on. It's backward neighbor, New Mexico, allows open carry, subject to some limitations, but no permit required.
Will it delimited to Idahoans only?
Thanks!

God Bless Texas !
We still have a GOPe type running our State House (a holdover of Governor Perry), a guy much like Paul Ryan. Unless we can get him out of office, we’re stuck being a squishy state, even with a SOLID conservative majority.
Thank You.
