Actually, Microsoft’s app store is gaining popularity. They’ve opened up .NET to be platform agnostic, and I know two of my Linux guys who are running Windows apps on their Ubuntu systems. Snark all you want, Microsoft is moving up in the industry thanks to their newfound open source mentality.
