I have the original LP in my stacks. Bought it in ‘70... :-)

The intro to Sweet Jane on that album is absolutely jaw dropping.

Yes, I’ve seen Leon’s medley at Bangladesh many times. Best part of the concert, imo. It just scorches. Billy Preston’s “That’s the Way God Planned it” is also a highlight.

Supposedly those guys ghosted for a lot of bands in the studio, I think I recall Aerosmith as being one of them supposedly. Yeah, that intro is pretty badass. The intro to ‘Hey Joe’ on Hendrix live at Winterland is pretty great too.

Live at the Fillmore East was a live concert being played by the Allmond Brothers for about a year before the recording was made. I saw and heard the music...just about note for note at the University of Georgia coliseum in Autumn of 1970. The following summer, the album was made. Wow, what a concert. The Wide Spread Panic band headquartered in Athens, Ga. Does infact appear to be the reincarnation of the Allmond Brothers Band. If you have a chance to hear them live Please Do! They too are incredible!

I spent my children’s inheritance going to concerts and festivals in my younger daze. I saw everyone from Animals to ZZ Top (and hundreds in between).

I saw Floyd when they were doing the DSOTM tour - man was I disappointed! The performance was flat and lifeless. I got bored and wandered around looking to see what I could see. At one point I was able to peer backstage where I saw to ree to reel recorders running. They were artificially enhancing their show!

I did go back and see them again during their Division Bell tour and that was pretty good.

Little Feat were big in the DC area but never really seemed to get traction anywhere else.

Pink Floyd’s “Is There Anybody Out There”
Live recording of “The Wall” album.

The Iron Maiden and Judas Priest albums mentioned above are also right up there for me.

Rush’s “Show of Hands” is a great album as well.

UFO’s ‘Strangers In The Night’

+1. Very underrated. I had tickets to see them in late '78, but Michael Schenker quit a couple weeks before the show, replaced by Paul Chapman. Went anyway. Disappointing.
