The numbers of the dead on Facebook are growing fast. By 2012, just eight years after the platform was launched, 30 million users with Facebook accounts had died. That number has only gone up since. Some estimates claim more than 8,000 users die each day.
At some point in time, there will be more dead Facebook users than living ones. Facebook is a growing and unstoppable digital graveyard.

At one point there were 1 billion FB users.
at 8000 a day its gonna take a while.
Not if they auto-delete inactive accounts after a warning. Inactive 5 years, warning, then delete six months later.
Facebook is way over rated, it was built on hype.
Some people want the accounts of loved ones to remain as a memorial. A more likely scenario is adding filters to remove accounts of the departed from your searches.
What would be a good social media site then?
But, most of them will show up and vote for Clinton.
And yet people keep buying it’s stock!
I know of three dead facebook users who’s accounts are still live. I hate it when I get birthday reminders for them.
Both my mother and a very good friend both have “ghost” accounts.

I started on Facebook when you had to have an .edu account in order to join. It was pretty quiet.
FB is what you make of it.
