The best Star Trek film by far. Ricardo Montalban is one of the most underrated actors of his time.

I can tell a big difference between HD and 4k, but I won’t be an early or even a mid- adopter. In fact, I’m thinking of dropping the expensive HD box for the cable and go back to SD, given the way I have enjoyed the Obama ‘recovery’.

It was the best “Star Trek” movie but it was just fairly good.
The others, especially the first movie were pretty bad.

Khan! you tell me when it will be released?

You are going to need quite a setup to give the 4K resolution full justice.

Does the original 1982(?) film negative even
have 2160 lines of resolution in it?!? High-grain stock can be helped by the kind of bandwidth that Blu-Ray can provide, but unless it was shot in 70mm or similar stock, I don't think there's a huge technical demand for this. I know that in addition to resolution that updating to a newer format also opens up the color space and dynamic range possible, but again, I suspect this isn't needed for dated 35mm source material.
(But making even more money off of fanboys will never go out of fashion

A 4K UHD version of the movie has not yet been released. The, the 2016 Director’s Cut Blu-ray was remastered in 4K, but was released in 1080p HD.

Wrath of Khan To Get 4K Release... Must be trying to get ahead of a remake, reboot, reshoot, etc...
Since there's no new stories apparently in Hollywood left to tell.
