I’d vote for Trump _if_ he were the nominee. He hasn’t won it yet.

I held my nose and voted for Romney and McCain, who are nowhere near as conservative as me. People are refusing to vote for Trump because he's a Democrat, plain and simple.
I love the people trying to understand the Trump thing. It's simple. It isn't Obama. If it was we could run the elephant. It is the betrayal of GOP politicians that say one thing to get elected and then do the opposite every time. Obamacare, the Iran Deal, dreamer deferrals, the last budget, all of which have either been supported, or tacitly accepted by the GOP. The only one of the politicians in the race that has even come close to opposing any more of this has been Cruz, and even he is a tweener. The GOP needs to take a good hard look in the mirror.
I don't really like Trump, but I will be voting for him in November because I can't stand the thought of Hillary as president.
