Does Ted Cruz realize what an opportunity he lost last night?
Vanity - Me | March 12, 2016 | True Believer Forever

Posted on 03/12/2016 10:33:19 AM PST by true believer forever

I am a Trump supporter, tried and true, but had Ted Cruz last night supported Donald Trump, reminded America of the importance of the First Amendment and other liberty-associated notions, I could have easily seen myself supporting him if Trump for whatever reason did not get the nomination. Now, I am more opposed to him than ever.

Trump supporters, it’s true, are loyal to a fault when it comes to Donald and just as loyal to those who defend and support him. Does Ted Cruz even know what an opportunity he wasted last night? It seems like Kasich, Cruz and Rubio have gotten their scripts from the gopE, probably a fruit of the Sea Island accord, and are proceeding full ahead.

TRUMP NOW MORE THAN EVER!!!

Cruz could not support Trump because he was already in the loop on the newest attack strategy by the GOPe: “Trump and his supporters are violent and don’t deserve to be heard.”

That the Leftist organizers participated in the strategy is no surprise.

Cruz was a tool among tools. Used for the purpose.

I agree with you completely even though I tend to be more sympathetic to Cruz than Trump. Cruz ought to have delivered a broadside against the disruption and threats against Trump and then called on Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and the DNC to disavow and denounce such tactics. Then Cruz ought to have rallied a squad of conservative lawyers and law firms to sue the organizations and persons responsible on behalf of Trump, the other Republican candidates, and GOP voters.

I love every word of this. You know what you have done, don't you? You have just overlaid Cruz with almost the exact way Trump would have reacted had the tables been turned. If Cruz did stuff like you described, there'd be no need for Trump. As it is, we need him now more than ever.

Where did you find that pic?

It's on the Chicago Tribune here about 3/4 down the page:

Here is a different shot of the incident:

“Tons of Supporters?”

I direct you to Ted’s FB page. That FB has had to install water cooling to keep people’s computers from catching on fire! So you can Cruz and Loose if you still want to, but the “trip” is going to be a lonely one for you. It will be interesting to see tonight how Cruz fairs in the FR Caucus voting, but it will probably take one more day to see just how far into the $hitter he’s gone here on FR.

obama has let loose the waves/tides of hatred and violence... that side does not like to see the good side of anything. The younger generation has been tricked/fooled/toasted..they don’t know what a United States looks like when it’s being cared for and loved.

Is there anyone else beside Trump who could withstand all this that they are throwing at him?

I believe Cruz woke up this morning in a cold sweat with the realization that he just handed the nomination to Trump last night.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CRUZ:
"Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
But
in any campaign responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of the campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that’s facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord.”
You have too many blahs in there. Cruz said very few words about the protestors before he laid into Trump. It's my belief had Trump not said one word of what they are calling "violent rhetoric" the same thing would have happened. This is about the border and immigration, waving the flag of Trump violence. And dontcha know, Cruz, Kasich and Rubio helped them all hold that flag high and keep it clean. Sickening.
when you have a campaign that’s facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press
That phrase alone sinks Ted Cruz, because he had to know that at least one of the allegations was untrue. The first attempt at tarring the Trump campaign with the "violence against the press" theme failed when it turned out the reporter was trying to grab the throat of a Secret Service agent. Cruz had to know that.
The second allegation in the series, that a Trump campaign official pushed a reporter was shown to be false yesterday, when Breitbart reported that Ms. Fields was also pulled by a Secret Service agent. See the story here
Repeating the talking points of the left, particularly the false ones, is not going to help Sen. Cruz. It may well cost him any chance at the presidency. Dumb move for a very smart guy.
Calling Ted Cruz an “establishment shill” is the most idiotic comment I have seen in a while. Get your nose out of Trump’s a$$...
Why are republicans starting to think like and sound like democrats?
CRUZ: "when you have a campaign that’s facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press"
Remember the old democrat talking point from the time the democrats and leftist media tried to scuttle the Clarance Thomas confirmation to the Supreme Court?
It's not if it is true or not -
"given the seriousness of the allegations, that alone should stop his confirmation.”
I sincerely hope Trump is wearing the very best Kevlar vest that money can buy.
These leftist maggots are starting to realize what a threat he is to the ongoing liberal transformation of America and they will take any measure possible to stop him.
I also hope that the Secret Service has beefed up it’s security detail to meet this new attack head-on at every rally and public appearance.
I was hardcore for Cruz until I woke up this morning and found that he has sided with Soros’ Moron.org mob with their communist and Mexican flags and banners.
It's just the latest disappointment. I thought nobody else could be as politically tone-deaf as Jeb, but in the past two weeks or so, Ted has proved me wrong. It all smacks of Cruz following his handlers commands, rather than his own common sense.
Doesn't anybody remember that it all began with "Black Lives Matter" protesters at a Bernie Sanders rally when Sanders let the protesters take over his stage and microphone? Trump said that was a lack of leadership and he would never let protesters take over his microphone.
That was taken as a challenge by the protesters to ramp up their agression at Trump rallies.
But it was originally a weakness of Sanders that started it all. Now everyone finds it convenient to blame Trump for it.
Seeing how Trump's primary opponents are jumping on the bandwagon that the agitators started, it is now becoming a sport to the Left to disrupt Trump rallies, knowing that Cruz and the others will be all over it afterwards.
If Cruz instead denounced that behavior, he might contribute to stopping it instead of encouraging more of it by his reactions.
They used to say that giving into terrorist demands just encourages more of the same. Disruptors want the likes of Cruz to finish what they started. When Cruz obliges, it just validates the efforts of the disruptors' actions and leads to more disruptions at future rallies.
Cruz has to stop feeding the beast.
Cruz can't stop feeding the beast, he's become part of it as have kasich and rubio.
This has been in the works for months, and there are many many others who participated in the planning. This was primarily about immigration until the GOP3 cruz rubio kasich picked up the banner and started beating Trump with it.
"Democratic Congressman Luis Gutierrez is making a call for Latinos and others to protest outside the UIC Pavilion Friday where Trump is scheduled to deliver a speech."
