At a media availability in Chicago, GOP Presidential candidate Ted Cruz blamed Donald Trump for the violence and protests that occurred earlier in the day at a Donald Trump rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago. The rally had to be cancelled due to safety concerns.

Cruz showed himself
WHY arent these violent leftist groups protesting Ted Cruz?
They will! Now they will dog Trump all over the rest of his stops because now they know they can shut him up!!!
You agree with Cruz. That’s not surprising.
“Trump supports explicit limits on free speech.”
And of course, you give no examples. Par for the course, for someone who has @&% for brains. By the way, do you care to comment on the subject of this thread or was your plan to ignore Cruz’s comments by changing the subject?
Good, bigbob, thank you for noting that Ted Cruz said that in part, Donald Trump contributed to what happened in Chicago.
That isn’t necessarily the tack I would take, but after seeing the slavish following of the Trump supporters — who say their candidate is perfect and has never done anything wrong or lied -— on this website, I can live with what he said.
THIS IS A NOTE TO THE VAST MAJORITY OF TRUMP SUPPORTERS ON THIS WEBSITE. This once was a conservative website. Now we have people working overtime to bring us a presidential election between two NY liberals (Donald Trump, a long-time Democrat and progressive who has donated to the Clintons, Jimmy Carter, Pelosi, Reid and Kerry) and (Hillary Clinton, a corrupt felon).
For more than three months, I have watched Trump supporters engage in a vicious character assassination campaign against Sen. Cruz. As someone who has been on this website for more than a decade I am disgusted and angered by the dirty tactics and cheap stunts pulled by Trump supporters here — from the Iowa attacks on Cruz for circulating CNN reports about Ben Carson’s reported post-Iowa election actions to what happened today.
In one of the more disgraceful acts I have ever seen, a Trump supporter (drewh) attempted to publish a rumor-filled sleaze report from an Internet rag called The Political Insider that accuses Sen. Cruz of adultery and an affair with someone affiliated with Trump’s campaign, Katrina Pierson. THIS IS PURE SLEAZE AND TRASH — and I would suggest you Trump supporters KNOCK OFF THE CRAPOLA you’ve been pulling here. IF ONE OF YOU CAN PROVE THAT SEN. CRUZ HAD AN AFFAIR, PROVE IT. IF YOU CAN’T, SHUT UP YOU LOSERS. Thankfully, one of the moderators removed the Trump trash posted by drewh.
It is hypocrisy of the highest order for any Trump supporter to even open his/her mouth about Sen. Cruz’s marriage or family.
LET’S DEAL WITH FACTS: The Trump supporters here have decided to cast their ballots for a man of low moral character and integrity. IT IS A FACT THAT TRUMP DUMPED TWO WIVES FOR MISTRESSES. IT IS A FACT THAT TRUMP HAS BEEN A SERIAL ADULTERER (according to two of his own books). IT IS A FACT THAT HE OWNED A STRIP CLUB. IT IS A FACT THAT HE MADE AT LEAST PART OF HIS MONEY PROFITING OFF THE POOR THROUGH GAMBLING IN HIS CASINOS
Right now, it looks like Trump will be the nominee for the GOP. I expect I will not vote in a presidential election for the first time in my life. I despise your candidate — and the more I see of Trump’s supporters on this website — uncritical devotion, vicious attacks on Sen. Cruz — the more, I want to work to stop Trump.
So Trump should have carried on even those the police warned him that serious violence would likely result? And if he had, you would have blamed him for being irresponsible. Don’t pretend you’re objective. We can all see right through you.
Feel better?
I feel great.
And I’ll feel when I see the Biblical truth fulfilled that that whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. In the end, I think Trump will reap the whirlwind.
You’ve said your piece, and I won’t attempt to change your mind. Your view welcomes anarchy, and I think your dangerous view is not shared by many on FR, and I hazard to say, generally.
Cruz is not eligible and supports the North American Union along with his wife.
That’s rich, compared to Trump!
He looks just like Beaker in this photo.

“I predict this will make absolutely not difference in Teds support here.”
Perhaps not for the handful of paid Cruz-Trolls here who make 90% of the anti-Trump posts, but I’ve seen significant numbers of rank-and-file FReepers on other posts today who said they had been Cruz supporters up until today when Cruz blamed Trump for the anti-free-speech chaos in Chicago by the far-leftist-anarchists who have been organizing for weeks to shutdown Trump’s Chicago rally.
“Can we hear from a single Cruz supporter here at FR who stands behind Cruzs comments?”
oh, the usual suspects, the handful of paid Cruz-trolls have been burning up the FR posting bandwidth defending Cruz’s support of the anti-free-speech far-leftist-anarchists who’ve been organizing for weeks via social media to shutdown Trump’s free speech rights in Chicago.
Rubio was good on this. Only a slight dig on Trump.
“trump was contributing to the rancorous discourse....was he wrong?”
Absolutely not, because we all know that the only discourse that should be allowed in the U.S. should be placid, polite, politically correct, non-offensive, never angry, and under no circumstance should it ever offend a single snowflake ensconced in one of their safe zones.
“The voice is so horribly whiny. He’s as fake as Obama. “
I beg your pardon! That whiny voice is NOT fake!
I’m still waiting on Cruz supporters to explain:
Goldman Sachs/Mercer
Bushes joining his team
Path to nomination w/out FL and OH
” totally used the situation to capitalize politically. “
Tonight, a deranged protester burned a pile of live babies outside a Trump rally. This man is responsible for his actions, but the culture and tone of the Trump campaign also shares some responsibility.
