At a media availability in Chicago, GOP Presidential candidate Ted Cruz blamed Donald Trump for the violence and protests that occurred earlier in the day at a Donald Trump rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago. The rally had to be cancelled due to safety concerns.

I’ve been listening to Rush since he started on the air in the 80’s. I’ve found no fault in him .... he’s been telling the GOP to stop obama for 8 years. Today, I turned him off. He’s in Cruz’s corner and if he tried to hide his bias, today he failed. Today, even Rush turned on all of Trump’s supporters. I don’t know who in the media understands and knows why we are angry.. and who will fix it. Herman Cain is behind Trump. I think Hannity is.. but he has to protect his job, I do believe. Anyone else? That elite crowd gets larger every day... more show themselves every day.
There are no conservative opponents that I am aware of. Ted Bush keeps showing more and more that he is not.

Ever work in the real world? Something is either accomplished or it isn’t. Maybe someone ELSE could have overcome the excuses er obstacles you list. Cruz failed, same as he promised to repeal Obamacare, and didn’t, promised to secure the border, and didn’t...how old are you? Only children (or gov worker) think that they have no accountability for failures. Cruz was on a team. The team failed. Fire them all. I’ve never heard such pathetic excuse-making since my 8 yo grandson was here yesterday.

You omitted the rest of the context in which the punch in the face was in response to the provocation of already being punched by the violent protestor. Trump is respected for his encouragement to defeat violence with violent retribution when the circumstances warrant such violent defenses. By omitting the defensive nature of the combat, you are helping to disseminate a false narrative that promotes a political lie.
Having the Bush apparatus jump in his campaign isn’t helping one bit.
