Don’t have win10, and no IE on any of these Linux machines so that would of necessity be a “no” to either.

Hmm. My Windows 10 doesn’t use IE. Does yours? It's not for Win10; rather it's designed to apply more pressure on those who refuse to "upgrade" (i.e., install a bunch of call-home spyware) from Win7 or 8.1 to Win10.
