Multiple videos show a protester at a Donald Trump rally in North Carolina being sucker-punched by a Trump supporter.

The videos, which appeared on social media early Thursday and are shot from different perspectives, show an African American with long hair wearing a white T-shirt leaving the Trump rally as the audience boos. He is being led out of the rally by men in uniforms that read “Sheriff’s Office.” The man extends a middle finger to the audience on his way out.

The scenario you mention isn’t out of the question. NI don’t think his is the case, but your idea isn’t outlandish.

The kid was leaving, so hitting him was wrong. The term sucker punch is a media contrivance. The man hit him. That’s it.

That kid didn’t even react, so I’m not sure if the guy connected or what.

He may have and done damage. If he did, and the charges do seem to indicate something happened to the kid, then the olde guy will have to submit to due process. That’s reasoned.

What you are proposing as a possibility is known as a false flag event, i.e. a dirty trick. The Dems are not only NOT above it, they practice it on a regular basis.

Was this particular event a dirty trick? No one but the participants know, of course. All of us can speculate on it one way or the other. But I think that your advice to the Trump campaign to be wary of such a possibility in the future is wise. Hopefully, they’ve already thought about this and implemented procedures to prevent a repeat.

I apologize if my "wimp" comment was misinterpreted. It was in relation to your cape...WEAR IT PROUDLY, MAN!!!

That said...a pink shirt? REALLY?

I draw more nuance on the event than you do, perhaps.

First, Mr. Protester Man was not a victim. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If we had more blowback there would be less stupid.

It does Trump no favors. It looks bad.

Third...A PINK SHIRT? At minimum he should be cited by the fashion police. He will have a deserved (IMO) appointment with the judge. Initiating violence is never cool.

I want to add, that when I, like everyone else, saw that it was a 78 year old man (who hit the protester)... it sorta 'set off an alarm' with me. And then, last night, when I saw his pic and the news stated that he has a 'long pony tail' and was wearing a 'pink' shirt' - - this is when I started wondering (last night) if this old guy might just very well be - one of the remaining old hippies. And if approached (by a liberal, or by a dnc member) and asked if he'd like to 'be a plotting protester' (again) like in his hippie days, he said sure.

Speaking of brain fried old hippies, I saw 'one' at the grocery store recently and he had the .... looks of ....'the avg. old hippie. What I'm obviously getting to is that this guy, might in fact be... some kind of old hippie -who 'clings' to the past and 'clings' to those days when he was a 'protesting liberal. (based on his appearance, he sure doesn't seem like a conservative) Heck, this old buzzard - might very well could have been -one of the original hippie protesters at the Chicago riots back in '68. Never know.

All of this might just be me -thinking too much, lol. But, this might be something to -at least give some consideration to. And if nothing else, it gave me something to ramble on about...in the wee hours this morning.

Wrong to punch a protester who isn’t touching you or threatening you physically.

Yes, I'll bet that the Trump campaign has considered all of the various tactics [plots] that they have to deal with in all their rallies. Hope so, but the problem here is that there is a shortage of 'security' personel available to - -'surround and protect' a protester, while escorting him/her out. The only thing I can think of, is for Mr Trump to spend a lot of money on a small 'army' of security personnel - like 150 - 200. But with something as important as this (preventing another scene for the viewing audience to see and to prevent the slimy msm from making big deals about such)... it might very well be worth it for Mr Trump to spend a large sum of money for 150-200 security personnel! (he has no lack of funds anyway)

I agree with your thoughts based on your observations.

I don’t think they have the numbers you have suggested (for security), but I’ll bet you’d be surprised how many are on site.

I notice that when protesters pop up, security is there very quickly.

You hear a commotion and the cameras swing, and often there are already people there ushering them out.

It’s probably impossible to limit this any more than they already have, but it’s worth reviewing.

BTW: It seemed to me there were about five guys walking that kid out. They were trying to let him to it under his own power to avoid it looking like they were strong arming him, when the old hippy guy took a swing. Who would have expected that?

Thank you for your additional comments.

Just saw that video here, and there may not have been as many security as I thought around this guy. There were attendees walking up the isle too.

I see on the news right now, that the police just escorted about three protesters out of Mr Trumps St. Louis rally. They had these protesters completely surrounded. I hope that this many (or more) security will be escorting all future protesters out.

Exactly, and like I posted -spending a couple hundred thousand for an army of security ....would be peanuts to Mr Trump!

Very good post, thank you DoughtyOne. I think that since Mr Trump has said he has 9 billion dollars, to hire and spend a hundred thousand per rally (or whatever it takes) -- is flat out peanuts to him. [additionally, this would this display how Very Much..Mr Trump is trying to shield protesters from being beaten, thus negate any msm making a big deal out of it]

In regards to - - 'five guys walking that kid out' - - as I see it, there lies the problem!! With 150 - 200 security personel (and also, pay for 40 or more - extra off duty police officers, if available) they can actually surround a protester with 10 of more security folks.

Of course, the worst scenario is that - - if and when another protester / protesters starts shouting (or whatever)....the folks immediately around him...could pound him/them... down before any security arrives. In this case, nothing can be done. :(

[But btw, in the Trump St. Louis rally today - there were four (4) protesters with arms locked together in a closed circle - shouting. This short segment was on cable about 3 hours ago - and it shows only about three security personnel trying to pull them apart but to no avail. Then the clip ended. I suppose that they got these four protesters out, but probably had to have 1/2 dozen more security to help them get them to the door and out.
THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE...OF WHY A HECK OF A LOT MORE SECURITY FORCES ARE NEEDED FOR ALL FUTURE RALLIES AND TOWN HALL MEETINGS. PERIOD!

Nah.

I do not support the idea Trump should toss money at this.
