Jailed for three years
A Chinese man reportedly sold his 18-day old baby girl so he could buy himself an iPhone.
He found a buyer on a social media site, who paid £2,500 (approx. Dh13,000) for his baby, according to media reports.
The man allegedly intended to buy an iPhone and a motorbike, Times of India reported quoting Peoples Daily Online.
He has been jailed for three years.
The couple were 19 when they learnt of the pregnancy.
Do they let him have his iPhone in jail?
What kind of motorbike?
Just kidding. I feel sorry for the girl, just send her my way. Little ones keep stopping me from buying a motorcycle, but I wouldn’t sell a kid for all the tea in China.
Planned Parenthood could have got him a much better deal.
Who the hell wants to buy a baby?
From what I recall, they are a huge pain in the ass
that you only put up with because they are yours.
The iPhone will keep him up nights a lot more than the baby. There’s obviously no guilt so that’s not the answer. Given that sick culture, It’s just very lucky he didn’t raps the child first before selling same. Guess that would have depreciated its market value — used merchandise is almost always lower- priced
Planned Parenthood would have paid him more.
They even grow up to write posts on Free Republic about their own blogs.
Least now we know the blue book value on an 18 day old tyke.
I didn’t know baby girls in China were worth that much.
Ironically, she made the iPhone her father bought.
He’s living the dream. Parents have talked about it, but he actually did it!
When he gets out of jail, his iPhone will be obsolete and he’ll have to get another one
Give the guy a break. Cell phones are expensive. /sarc
They don’t tell you how tough it’s going to be on the outside,
This POS who sold his child is NOT a Dad.
At best, he is a father.
In fact, he is nothing but a sperm donor.
Adoption.
They are to Westerners.
