Many people who claim Trump isn’t a conservative are themsrlves not. Look at Bush, Romney, Graham, Ryan.

Trump is not my ideal conservative president. But he IS my ideal instrument of change.

His VP pick is very important. We need someone who can begin to rebuild after Trump halts the country’s decline.

Many politicians and pundits/commentators/newsies and sycophants are throwing around the word 'conservative'. They are making it a litmus test, but few actually define what they mean by 'conservative'. Those who do try to define what they mean by 'conservative' revert to the age old rhetoric that the GOP abandoned a long time ago: smaller government, fewer taxes, fewer regulations, yada yada yada.

In Fiorina's speech to support Cruz, she was saying she and Cruz are the only two true conservatives. [IIRC, her history was anything but 'conservative'.]

Trump doesn’t say, or pretend to be, “conservative” as the current (neo?) conservatives in DC are “conservative”. If the conservatives in our House and Senate have permitted this country to arrive at the state it’s in, they’re useless. They certainly aren’t “conservative” in the true sense of the word.

So they’ve sullied that word and it no longer means what it did during Reagan. The best we can hope for is a Nationalist as President — someone who loves America more than any other country, and someone who will protect America.

I was a conservative. Now I’m not.
