New footage has emerged that was taken by one of the passengers in the car with LaVoy Finicum that detail his final moments during an encounter with Oregon State Police and the FBI.

Anyone against ranchers keeping their land are traitors in my book. The ranchers never fired a shot! LaVoy did not have a gun on him. It was a throw-down.
OK, but why would he put his life on the line ? Does it not matter why ? If you kill someone, let's say in self-defense, does it not matter why ?
what does the FAMILY’S AUTOPSY show...???
“The question is WHY were they doing this ?”
Doesn’t matter. Once you do it the die is cast. You can’t have an armed peaceful protest. The very fact that you’re armed is threatening deadly force. By being armed they played right into the left’s hands, lost whatever sympathy they had from politicians, and set themselves up for long prison sentences while accomplishing exactly nothing.
Exactly!
Perhaps you might want to do some research on what this is all about.
Range magazine has some good articles on the left side of their homepage entitled "Enemies of the State".
Was is it with you and the ‘non-lethal’ shots?
Just because they missed doesnt mean they werent trying to kill him.
Or do these LEOs have weapons that just shoot themselves and can decide which shots fired are going to be lethal and which ones are just going to make that cool ricochet sound?
You must hate ranchers. I pity you!
Some of the comments on this thread are starting to smell like the stuff I pump out of the holding tank on my boat.
I knew it wouldn’t be long before Lavoy was convicted, and all law enforcement involved were exonerated.
Can believe this Shiite?!
I’m not trying to muddy any water. The first time I watched the video a couple of months ago, my initial reaction was that this was a really stupid move on Finicum’s part. Then I saw websites where they had good analysis of the shooting, like these:

There are many here who think the actions of all law enforcement officers are the work of evil men. That’s simply not accurate. Regardless of how one feels about the land issue - and I sympathize heavily with those who think that the federal government has gone way overboard on taking land and designating it as under federal control - that does not give people a right to take the law into their own hands, and it certainly doesn’t give them a right to ignore law enforcement officers and attempt to evade them.
I called you on it in post #110 at 9:35:04 PM EST. You corrected yourself in post #111 at 9:35:14 PM EST.
You are ONE FAST RESEARCHER, dude! ROFL!!!
The why is a question for another discussion - it is simply not relevant to the question of whether or not Mr. Finicum should have complied with law enforcement officers who were doing their jobs to arrest him. Nobody went into that confrontation looking for a gunfight - well, nobody but Lavoy Finicum.
Did they ever say why they fired the non lethal round and at whom? I remember hearing the occupents of the truck say they were shot at during the initial stop but was never able to get confirmation. Did that come out with this latest investigation?
It sure lends more weight to the hammer and anvil theory.
kiryandil, you must have a brain the size of a small walnut. Typically, when someone makes a mistake and corrects himself, some credit is due. That’s exactly what I did, but your little tiny walnut-sized brain isn’t big enough to process that information. Good day.
See my post #151 for a laugh. :)
There were snipers in the woods. Citizens went out and took pictures of where they were, I have seen them on Facebook and I met one of the ladies that took some of them. The snow made it easy to see and they cut branches off of trees to get a clear shot.
What is your response to my observation about your “10 second” research skills? Gonna swear at me again? LOL! :)
Non-lethal ROUNDS. A state trooper fired one nonlethal ROUND at the first traffic stop. In other words, it was some kind of flashbang or other round that was not lethal, just like the ones that were fired at the truck after Finicum was shot.
We'll be watching you. :)
See, we have this thing called Google....
Q. Which shots fired were nonlethal ammunition vs. lethal? Pictures would help.
A. Investigators said eight lethal rounds were fired three by a state trooper as Finicum’s truck approached the roadblock, two apparently by an FBI agent after it crashed into the snow and three by two state troopers at Finicum. A state trooper fired one nonlethal round at the first traffic stop. Various officers fired nonlethal rounds at the pickup after Finicum was shot, but authorities haven’t provided a count. The police released photos of the truck, which we have posted online with this story.
