speaking of uber, xshub left his phone in the uber he took from airport to his ofc this AM and of course you contact them via your phone so there’s no way to get word to the dang driver! he is going nuts now.

I think nowadays they teach you to “steer in the direction you want to go” which doesn’t seem particularly helpful.

The point is to align your steering angle with where the rear of the car is going. If you oversteered, understeer until you get control back.

Speaking of Uber, and of making things up, former "Teen Mom" reality show personality Farrah Abraham is now admitting that her previous allegation that an Uber driver "almost raped her" was a bit of an autoschediasm.

Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham admits her Uber driver didn't 'almost rape' her

Apparently he made her uncomfortable by "looking at her lecherously". You would think that a skanky little tramp who has made her living by publicly engaging in sexual acts for others to watch would not be that uncomfortable about somebody looking at her in that way regardless of whether he verbalized anything or not (which he apparently didn't). But in her mind it "could have escalated into a rape situation" so her previous claim is perfectly understandable. Of course, I guess you could also say that she COULD HAVE solicited cash or other compensation from him in return for offering sexual favors, so she almost engaged in prostitution, or at least it could have escalated to that.

If only poor Clara had understood this when she was driving her SUV over her hapless hubby.

Funny, I never thought of her as college material.

and even in the middle of a word.

We all learned in grammar school about prefixes (modifiers added at the beginning of a word) and suffixes (modifiers added at the end of a word), but the infix (modifier inserted in the middle of a word) pretty much unique to the F-Word, is the one we learn later in life.

safe spaces are no longer restricted to college campuses. my WORKPLACE had a mandatory staff meeting about it. I nearly lost my mind.

Of course, if you happen to be sliding off a cliff, trying to steer the car in the direction you REALLY want to go (up) would be a little difficult…

However, if this were to occur —say next to a humid seacoast— there would probably be an associated hum in my head, with this little voice saying "Kiss your a** goodbye", or "Adios, Mustache", or I'd be bidding my stomach adieus or some such. Then, my not being around would tick off my cat; housemaids would have to come in to clean up the place – what a mess!

It was still drizzling too much to work on the customer’s patio job, so we left-I got home and was watching some news while making a salad for lunch-the bite of Bret Baier’s grilling of Hillary that I saw was hilarious-I almost expected her to start melting...

Hillary shows all her disdain
If called on her E-mail mess
She ignores the law and lies
Even though she shows stress

She has a new autoschediasm
But each one places the blame
On some agency or department-
She’s happy to give their name

She explains-her nose in the air
You peasants must listen-see?
The FBI CIA and VRWC did it
I say once more it wasn’t me...

Forgiving sins that the person never stated? Wow. A lot of hokey pokey happy slappy magic to me. God set up certain parameters...including stating your sin, committing to never sinning again and moving on.........not forgiveness for sins the person still embraces and plans to commit again.

So we don’t have to repent any more to be absolved or sin? I may not be reading that right, but I really don’t see my parish priest telling me I’m absolved just because I stepped inside the confessional and knelt down-that is crazy-do I still have to say bless me father, etc?

Isn’t it crazy? My friend goes to an Episcopal church and I always wondered at some of her thinking.....well, no more.....a leader in her church died and reading the obituary for this bishop....well, SHE left behind a widow. Good grief. Now I know about our local Episcopalian church.

I guess the priest is supposed to read our minds when we come to confess now-he’ll absolve us by just knowing our “feelings”-no specific confession of sins necessary, right?

Was that supposed to be a “widower”? If they have female priests, that seems weird, but they are not Catholic-if the priest was a lesbian, that is a whole different thing...
