Falling into a pit of snakes is nothing like lifting a fork to the cuisine of ribald classics in Italy, nor should it be, particularly on this most auspicious occasion when all that is left of dignity and accord is this small piece of trivia, otherwise worthless, but now elevated to its highest approbation in Wednesday’s most notable Word For The Day.
It used to be said that "Newspapers mold minds"; but as Horshack of "Welcome Back Kotter" once said, "Eww! Who wants a moldy mind?"
Still, it is clear in this election season that the modern-day media has gone directly for the viral influence.
How sad for them that The Donald seems to be an anti-viral agent. It boggles the whole narrative of having the media pick the Republican candidate who will be the easiest to beat.

Ach! We’ve been played again! We should just surrender to the awesomeness of the Media and forget trying to be competitive.

amazes me that this isn’t clear to everyone. it’s as if he mesmerizes people so they don’t really hear what he says when he speaks.
ah but the media is promoting him, they love the spectacle which he always provides. and they will save their dirt until after he’s the nominee and then it will come pouring out. I know his followers consider him bulletproof, but that’s only because there hasn’t been much of an assault on him yet. Trumpbots love to complain about fox, but you can’t be more obsequious than they are with him, they’re all terrified of P’ing him O.
They want to believe.
Believing saves a lot of wasted time trying to think.
Faith in a faithless man is bound to bite you in the butt.

This winter, I drove over some black ice, which caused a severe case of autoschediasm. Remembering a factoid from a high school driver’s ed course, taken during the Kennedy Administration, I steered the car in the direction of the skid, while extemporizing new ways to use the F-word, as a noun, adjective and verb, at the beginning, the end, and even in the middle of a word.
Autoschediasm makes the world go round
Forget about well reasoned or sound
Folks are hopping mad
and will vote very bad
And I can only wonder and expound.
