That's a very key phrase. How can he possibly conceive of the concept 'consent of the governed' when he consents to no one?
In my opinion, Trump will not try to govern; he will try to rule and I think it's a mistake to trade one 'ruler' for another.
Trump supporters don’t see it that way.We see Trump as the guy that will reverse the lefts attempt to destroy this country.
If he does try to "rule" instead of administrate he will face an impediment that our current "ruler" does not have to overcome - the Republican-led Congress! This do-nothing, go-along-with-Obama bunch of RINO's will discover spine they didn't know they had and will stand up to Trump in ways that they should have with Zero.
It's always a risk to elect someone to the highest office in the land. Look at the countless damage Obama has done to our nation. But Trump is accountable. He's accountable to We the People, not special interests. Great private enterprise leaders are chosen to bring companies from the brink, to use good judgement to make a comeback. What Trump represents is putting a Steve Jobs in to run our nation. It's the best option we have. |
So you seem to concede we already have a 'ruler' now. To that point, how will the others be any less of a ruler then? I don't subscribe to the theory that we already live under a ruler. But I do believe that simply exchanging one politician for another will do nothing to significantly change anything for the better. In fact, Trump represents our last opportunity to take the presidency back for the citizens. If Trump loses, you can bet the politicians will rig the system to make it virtually impossible for a 'rogue' outsider to get this close again. Trump gave them a scare and they will be on guard to ensure it doesn't happen again.
