96 and wearing a diaper, probably thought he was 11 years old again. Why would 2 young girl , not relatives, be doing regular visits to this guy, unsupervised.

I would say it depends on what color he is but in Orange County, I’m not so sure it’s not all white.

Obviously, this man needs a private room, where he would have no contact with any underaged visitors to his facility.
Someone else might say he ‘has a right to expression’. Yes, but not with minors or inappropriately.
He probably has some measure of Alzheimers anyway, where all social inhibition has now dissolved.

1. Did this man have dementia? If so, he is not responsible for his actions. Period.

2. If he did have dementia, the person/place responsible for him should do the time. It is important to understand the brain. If the brain is in the process of being destroyed, the person doesn’t know right from wrong and has no control of his actions. These molestations may be the fault of someone who didn’t keep this man in an appropriate environment.

3. Too many elders affected by Alzheimer’s are not properly supervised because there is no one to watch them during working hours. We need to change this as a society. Caregivers are dying off like flies from the stress of caring for their loved one with dementia. And clearly, people with dementia need to be as supervised as a 4 year old. 24/7.

4. Of course, if he was sound and sane, throw the book at him.
