Obama says first family staying in Washington ‘for a couple of years’ after he leaves the WH

Over lunch with a small group in Milwaukee, President Obama on Thursday said he plans to stay in Washington for a couple of years after his presidency so that his youngest daughter can finish high school.

It has long been speculated that the first family might stay in Washington after Obama leaves the White House. The president, though, made it sound as if it were a done deal.

Obama was having lunch with four women and a man — all of whom had written him letters about the Affordable Care Act — at Engine Company No. 3, a restaurant in Milwaukee. They talked about the weather and the Midwest.

“It always feels good being closer to home,” Obama said.

One of the women asked about Hawaii, where he was born. “Hawaii is home for me,” he replied, but suggested that his real home is Chicago. “I spent almost 30 years in Chicago,” he said, noting it was also Michelle Obama’s hometown.

Someone at the table then asked where he and the first lady would live after he was done with the presidency.

“We haven’t figured that out yet,” he said. “We’re going to have to stay a couple of years so Sasha can finish” school, he said. “Transferring someone in the middle of high school — tough.”

My take: he will try to run a Shadow Government—especially if the Republicans take the White House.

Yes, he did, even though the Kenyans privately asked Obama not to do this, he flapped his yap anyway. That is not his business, to dictate every aspect of their social interaction. Obama treats African nations as though they are American Colonies, or being considered for such. Too late anyway. The Chinese have invested billions in certain parts of Africa, in order to mine the minerals. Only catch is the Chinese don’t hire very many local Africans to do their work.
Sort of a Caste System mentality.

he and the wookie both saw how Bill and Hillary capitalized on their political connections after 2000 and he wants to outdo them. i believe he was once quoted (a leaked quote) as saying he wanted to be the first billionaire ex-president. i expect a lot of quid pro quos are gonna get cashed in on immediately after he leaves office. there are people and foreign governments that have made a lot of $$$ off of his policies and he wants his “walking around” money the minute he’s able to get it.

we really need to repeal that law that puts the taxpayers on the hook for financing the lives of ex-presidents. it’s outrageous that people around the country losing their homes and gainful employment are being forced (at the end of a gun barrel) to pony up huge $$$ so that ex-presidents and their families can live like monarchs in perpetuity after they leave office. the Bushes, Clintons, and Obamas can all afford to pay for that themselves.

If he doesn’t have to be pried out of the White House it would be a surprise to me.

Obama tells private group in Milwaukee that he doesn’t intend to leave DC after he leaves office. It’s for the children.

“The thing that wouldn’t leave.”

Just what I figured and like Carter, the Clintons, and now Obama.......they will never go away unlike the past Republican Presidents, when they leave....they leave.

The secondary black executive branch to assure diversity in the presidency. He hasn’t ruined enough communities yet.

It seems like what they all fear most in a Trump presidency is being made irrelevant.

Or the new head of CAIR.

When he’s not playing golf or filling out his NCAA brackets.

Yeah no kid can survive transferring schools in high school. Especially not liberal elite pampered kids like his. Co sidering what narcissists the parents are, the kids now are probably 10 times worse.
