My 'Horror' Year In a Princeton Dorm With Ted Cruz
Daily Mail ^ | : 10:29 EST, 3 March 2016

Posted on 03/03/2016 4:02:22 PM PST by drewh

Screenwriter Craig Mazin was Cruz's freshman year roommate in 1988 Said he was invited to senior parties because people felt sorry he had to be Cruz's roommate Mazin said girls would complain to him after Cruz would walk to their side of the dorm in his bath robe '

'Other than existing, what's the worst thing Ted did to you?' one asked.

'Set his alarm for 7am and then hit the snooze button seven times in a row,' Mazin replied. 'Day after day. Until I crazy-glued it.'

But Mazin didn't have a response when one Twitter user asked what Cruz did on a 'typical Friday night in college'.

'I have no idea,' Mazin replied. 'Because the first thing I did after my last class of the week was GET THE F*** AWAY FROM TED CRUZ.'

One user couldn't believe it had been all bad, asking Mazin if at any point during in their dorm he and Cruz shared 'genuine moment', made 'sincere eye contact' or even agreed on what television show to watch.

'No, no and no,' Mazin responded.

The screenwriter did admit there was one benefit to being Cruz's roommate. Along with the party invites out of pity, he said his hatred of Cruz 'got me laid a few times in '88'.

But along with the jokes and tales from college, Mazin has been vocal in his belief that Cruz would make a dangerous president.

'Ted Cruz will become the thing you need him to be so that he wins an election,' Mazin wrote. 'No principles, no moral center, no values. Just ambition.'

Mazin said that ambition came from Cruz's upbringing: 'Ted has wanted to be President ever since his father told him that's what Jesus really, really wanted to happen,' he wrote on Twitter.

A far-left Hollywood screenwriter didn’t get along with a constitutionalist and hard shell Christian? Tell me more!

Hmmm, I don’t know if any of this is ture, but the guy is one who shared a room with him. I see that raw ambition and the fact that Cruz will say or do anything to get elected. Hed has proven it thus far, much to the blindness of is supporters.

No doubt this under-developed intellect fancies himself another Michael Moore. The loser is making some cash by this lame “horror story,” but post election, we will never hear of this bottom feeder again.

In addition to Mazin and Leitch, several fellow classmates who asked that their names not be used described the young Cruz with words like “abrasive,” “intense,” “strident,” “crank,” and “arrogant.” Four independently offered the word “creepy,” with some pointing to Cruz’s habit of donning a paisley bathrobe and walking to the opposite end of their dorm’s hallway where the female students lived. …

Cruz also angered a number of upperclassmen his freshman year when he joined in a regular poker game and quickly ran up $1,800 in debt to other students from his losses. Cruz’s spokeswoman, Catherine Frazier, said Cruz acknowledges playing in the poker games, which he now considers “foolish.”

“He went to his aunt, who worked at a bank in Dallas, and borrowed $1,800 from her, which he paid in cash and promptly quit the game,” Frazier told The Daily Beast, explaining that Cruz worked two jobs and made monthly payments to his aunt for the next two years to repay the debt.

In the case of Obama, it’s hard to create fake people out of thin air.

What with the fictitious narrative.

Mia Marie Pope didn’t like him, though.

The screenwriter did admit there was one benefit to being Cruz's roommate.

And that apparently is the ability to spend the rest of his life getting media attention by whining about it.
