If You’re Pro-Life You Don’t Praise Planned Parenthood

Allow me to make an extreme comparison.

Along with their murderous, barbaric policies and practices, the Nazis engaged in serious medical research, and some Nazi doctors, like Prof. Dr. Julius Hallervorden (1882-1965), a famous neurologist who became head of the Neuropathology Department of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Brain Research in 1938, continued to advance their medical research after the Holocaust.

Yet no person in his or her right mind would say, “I hate the fact that these Nazi doctors were involved in torturing and slaughtering so many people, but they helped a lot of people too, so I’m going to be balanced in my criticism.”

To highlight the absurdity of this, let’s consider Donald Trump’s post-Super Tuesday comments when he again gave qualified praise to Planned Parenthood. But here I’ll substitute “Nazis” for “Planned Parenthood” and “genocide” for “abortion.”

His comments would then read: “Look, the Nazis have done very good work for many, many — for millions of women. And I’ll say it, and I know a lot of the so-called conservatives, they say that’s really … cause I’m a conservative, but I’m a common-sense conservative.”

“We're not going to allow, and we're not going to fund, as long as you have the genocide going on . . . .”

To quote (with the same word-changes) from his most recent debate, “So you can say whatever you want, but they have millions of women going through the Nazis that are helped greatly.”

Can you imagine anyone making statements like these?

For all those who are offended by the comparison between the Nazis and Planned Parenthood and between genocide and abortion, please take a look at some abortion photos, consider the compelling evidence that Planned Parenthood traffics in aborted baby parts (despite a recent court ruling to the contrary), and remember that Planned Parenthood has covered up for men who sexually abused minors.

Note also that, according to the Heritage Foundation, “Despite a nearly 20 percent decline in the number of abortions in the country between 2000 and 2011, the number of abortions Planned Parenthood performed during that time increased from 197,070 to 333,964, thereby more than doubling its share of the abortion market from 15 percent in 2000 to 32 percent in 2011, the latest year for which national data are available.”

Put simply, can anyone who is in any true sense of the word pro-life praise the nation’s largest and most aggressive abortion provider, despite other services they perform?

To give another example, no one with a pro-life bone in their body would say, “Well, Dr. Kermit Gosnell helped a lot of women over the years, and we really appreciate that, but we’re upset that he killed living babies as well.”

No. They would excoriate Gosnell’s so-called “House of Horrors” and would say that it’s good he’s behind bars.

In the same way, it is absolutely ludicrous that Donald Trump would once more sing the praises of Planned Parenthood (with the exception of their abortion industry) at his Tuesday night, widely-televised, national press conference, despite all the innocent baby blood on their hands.

More absurd still, he called those who criticized him on this “so-called conservatives.”

What, Mr. Trump? Will you say that to the people who, as true moral conservatives, have sacrificially invested dozens of years of their lives to fight against Planned Parenthood? Would you say that they are “so-called conservatives” and you are the true conservative because you recognize all the good Planned Parenthood has done?

If women’s health care is an issue to you (and I believe it is), then let the government help out the countless thousands of non-Planned Parenthood healthcare clinics. These clinics massively outnumber the Planned Parenthood clinics and they do not have the blood of abortion on their hands.

For those who are still upset with me over the Nazi comparison (and I’m not claiming it is an exact parallel), let’s change the analogy for a moment.

Let’s say there’s a big hospital that has operated in your city for decades, saving thousands of lives over the years with its terrific healthcare programs. Unfortunately, it’s also infamous for euthanizing about one-third of its patients, both young and old, at the discretion of the doctors.

You would not say, “Hey, I would fund the hospital if not for all that euthanasia. You see, I’ve heard from thousands of people – I have letters from them – telling me about the great work they do. They’ve really helped a lot of people.”

Of course not.

You would say instead, “What a horror! That hospital needs to be shut down today and those doctors need to be charged with murder.”

So it is with Planned Parenthood, and if anyone needed proof that Donald Trump is still not a true pro-life candidate, his continued qualified praise of Planned Parenthood, coupled with the vilification of his conservative pro-life critics, says it all.

With the makeup of the Supreme Court hanging in the balance and with the absence of Justice Scalia already being felt, it is critical that we elect a true pro-life president.

Let’s do what we need to do while the options are still there.

Yep. We are a guilty nation and will pay a terrible price but until that time I will fight.

Nothing of the kind. “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED” is solidly enshrined in the Constitution. Those who are trying to destroy the Constitution, including those who ignore that Cruz and Rubio are NOT eligible for the presidency, need to educate themselves.

You know, I remember when even looking like you might be defending abortion or Planned Parenthood equaled an insta-ZOT around here.

Strange days we are living in.

Then elect your guy and continue the 40 year tradition of GOP politicians who tell you what you want to hear and do NOTHING to end the murders.

I think you are IGNORANT! Planned parenthood goes back to 1921 when women had no birth control available to them and many women spent their lives being nothing but baby factories having a dozen or more children and often dying from exhaustion or one too many births.

Listen troll, I know a hell of a lot more about the history of Big Murder and its eugenic roots than you do.

Remember that in 1921, a woman didn’t even have the right to vote and couldn’t get a loan at the bank without her husbands signature.

Not only is what you are saying FALSE, you sound like Hillary.

Planned Parenthood HAS DONE a lot of good over the years for women who had no other place to turn for health services.

Planned Parenthood has MURDERED 20 MILLION INNOCENT AMERICANS. That outweighs any perceived "good" you can come up with.

But let's have a look at some of the "good" that they've done recently that didn't involve killing babies:

Planned Parenthood spearheads new initiative to propagandize students on homosexuality
‘Despite what your parents say’: Planned Parenthood’s corruption of kids is worse than you know
CBS affiliate presents explosive exposé on Oregon’s ‘Triple X’ sex education
Another Shock Video Catches Planned Parenthood Teaching Teens S&M Sex: Gagging, Whipping...

I suppose you think all of this is "good" and I'm just an ignorant fanatic for believing otherwise.

It was those in Washington who decided Abortion (Murder) was legal.

What does that have to do with anything?

Learn to take the good and discard the bad without destroying everything because you’ve been brainwashed.

Really troll? I've been "brainwashed"? I've been on Free Republic promoting conservatism for twelve years and this is the first time that ANYONE has suggested that I'm "brainwashed" because I detest Planned Parenthood.

I am NOT trying to defend baby murders. I am telling you all or nothing zealots that you are advocating the destruction of a WORLD WIDE ORGANIZATION which has done a hell of a lot of good. I call that Totalitarianism!

White trash in the south today are stupid cows from my observation

You’re talking about uptown and college bound

Today in the mid south more than the Deep South you’ll find lower income white girls are morbidly obese and toting around 2-5 mixed race illegitimate babies by age 25 by a number of different similarly fatherless black males

One day in middle TN pure Afro DNA will only be found in labs at Vanderbilt and we’ll be stuck with one big brown underclass we pay the bill for

There are no more rednecks

Ok.. You may not know, but I do. The number of single mother households has ballooned dramatically since women started taking the pill. The pill allowed men and women to think that sex now came without the possibility of pregnancy so have at it. “Folks” didn’t act like rabbits until the pill told them they could, so the cure you think costs only “a few cents” is actually the poison that is already taking the money from your wallet... and yes it is costing you.

If you think calling me a troll is going to have any effect on what I think and what I know, you are just another fanatic that seeks to destroy something because of one aspect of it. You sound like a Democrat! Some people are willing to amputate the whole leg to get rid of a blister on the heel!

Any of the “good” they do service wise can be done at a number of other clinics or ob/gyn offices that do not provide abortions. There is no need for Planned Parenthood.

I am NOT trying to defend baby murders.

Actually, you are.

Saying that an organization that has killed millions of babies has "done a lot of good" is defending them.

I am telling you all or nothing zealots that you are advocating the destruction of a WORLD WIDE ORGANIZATION which has done a hell of a lot of good. I call that Totalitarianism!

So, not wanting to give taxpayer money to the world's largest murderer and promoter of eugenics is "totalitarianism"? What Orwellian abyss did you pull that out of?

Or elect your guy and get . . . what? I don’t know. He says one thing then another. He had hundreds of friends die on 9/11 and then didn’t. He thinks obama’s doing a great job then he isn’t. He donates to nice people like Cankles, Reid, Bloomberg, etc. The devil I know or the devil I don’t know.

80% of something is better then 100% of nothing. This is one of the reason "Conservatives" continually fail. If you don't get 100% of what you want

Exactly.

Trump is brilliantly appealing to women and crossover voters.

Whether we realize or like it, a LOT of people in this country, ESPECIALLY women, DO NOT have a hatred of Planned Parenthood.

Whenever a Republican starts tearing into Planned Parenthood and threatening to close it down, a LOT of people cover their ears and turn off their brains.

I wish Republicans would learn how to do politics and salesmanship again, instead of stupid boilerplate speeches about the Constitution and freedom and free enterprise.

The vast majority of Americans don't know what any of that means.

“He needs to realize there are twenty topics that are hot issues to single issue voters and he has to know in advance where he truly wants to stand.”

Any serious candidate would have consultants to brief him on those kind of things and prepare him for these questions. Obviously Trump doesn’t think he needs that, and it shows.
