Allow me to make an extreme comparison.
Along with their murderous, barbaric policies and practices, the Nazis engaged in serious medical research, and some Nazi doctors, like Prof. Dr. Julius Hallervorden (1882-1965), a famous neurologist who became head of the Neuropathology Department of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Brain Research in 1938, continued to advance their medical research after the Holocaust.
Yet no person in his or her right mind would say, I hate the fact that these Nazi doctors were involved in torturing and slaughtering so many people, but they helped a lot of people too, so Im going to be balanced in my criticism.
To highlight the absurdity of this, lets consider Donald Trumps post-Super Tuesday comments when he again gave qualified praise to Planned Parenthood. But here Ill substitute Nazis for Planned Parenthood and genocide for abortion.
His comments would then read: Look, the Nazis have done very good work for many, many — for millions of women. And Ill say it, and I know a lot of the so-called conservatives, they say thats really … cause Im a conservative, but Im a common-sense conservative.
We're not going to allow, and we're not going to fund, as long as you have the genocide going on . . . .
To quote (with the same word-changes) from his most recent debate, So you can say whatever you want, but they have millions of women going through the Nazis that are helped greatly.
Can you imagine anyone making statements like these?
For all those who are offended by the comparison between the Nazis and Planned Parenthood and between genocide and abortion, please take a look at some abortion photos, consider the compelling evidence that Planned Parenthood traffics in aborted baby parts (despite a recent court ruling to the contrary), and remember that Planned Parenthood has covered up for men who sexually abused minors.
Note also that, according to the Heritage Foundation, Despite a nearly 20 percent decline in the number of abortions in the country between 2000 and 2011, the number of abortions Planned Parenthood performed during that time increased from 197,070 to 333,964, thereby more than doubling its share of the abortion market from 15 percent in 2000 to 32 percent in 2011, the latest year for which national data are available.
Put simply, can anyone who is in any true sense of the word pro-life praise the nations largest and most aggressive abortion provider, despite other services they perform?
To give another example, no one with a pro-life bone in their body would say, Well, Dr. Kermit Gosnell helped a lot of women over the years, and we really appreciate that, but were upset that he killed living babies as well.
No. They would excoriate Gosnells so-called House of Horrors and would say that its good hes behind bars.
In the same way, it is absolutely ludicrous that Donald Trump would once more sing the praises of Planned Parenthood (with the exception of their abortion industry) at his Tuesday night, widely-televised, national press conference, despite all the innocent baby blood on their hands.
More absurd still, he called those who criticized him on this so-called conservatives.
What, Mr. Trump? Will you say that to the people who, as true moral conservatives, have sacrificially invested dozens of years of their lives to fight against Planned Parenthood? Would you say that they are so-called conservatives and you are the true conservative because you recognize all the good Planned Parenthood has done?
If womens health care is an issue to you (and I believe it is), then let the government help out the countless thousands of non-Planned Parenthood healthcare clinics. These clinics massively outnumber the Planned Parenthood clinics and they do not have the blood of abortion on their hands.
For those who are still upset with me over the Nazi comparison (and Im not claiming it is an exact parallel), lets change the analogy for a moment.
Lets say theres a big hospital that has operated in your city for decades, saving thousands of lives over the years with its terrific healthcare programs. Unfortunately, its also infamous for euthanizing about one-third of its patients, both young and old, at the discretion of the doctors.
You would not say, Hey, I would fund the hospital if not for all that euthanasia. You see, Ive heard from thousands of people I have letters from them telling me about the great work they do. Theyve really helped a lot of people.
Of course not.
You would say instead, What a horror! That hospital needs to be shut down today and those doctors need to be charged with murder.
So it is with Planned Parenthood, and if anyone needed proof that Donald Trump is still not a true pro-life candidate, his continued qualified praise of Planned Parenthood, coupled with the vilification of his conservative pro-life critics, says it all.
With the makeup of the Supreme Court hanging in the balance and with the absence of Justice Scalia already being felt, it is critical that we elect a true pro-life president.
Lets do what we need to do while the options are still there.
:) Wow. totally wow. If congress passed a law to protect the unborn starting at conception, they would keep going, wouldn’t they? They are now the true back alley docs since there weren’t really any before roe.
“1. Defund Planned Parenthood if it doesnt stop doing abortions.”
Is Trump serious. Murdering babies for $$ is PP’s reason for being there.
“2. Fund Planned Parenthood if it DOES stop doing abortions, because funding pap smears, STD info, etc. is not funding any abortion.”
So why aren’t we funding the other healthcare centers NOW, who also do screenings, etc., but do NOT perform abortions?
Either Trump is for PP, or is a dummie. Either way, I don’t want him to be my president.
I don’t suppose you see the strategery. It’s pulling the teeth of the Bumble.
Sigh.....
Yeah, it’s how they roll. Dishonestly.
“..With the makeup of the Supreme Court hanging in the balance and with the absence of Justice Scalia already being felt, it is critical that we elect a true pro-life president.

Bingo!
There are already more liberal, unconstitutional judges throughout the country, as well as in the SCOTUS.
NO WAY would I want to take a chance on Mr. Trump, as the courts affect everything else.
No. I don’t.
WORLD WIDE ORGANIZATION which has done a hell of a lot of good >>
purveyors of porn to children, racism, eugenics, population control, abortion, selling baby parts, etc.. it’s never done any good nor does it provide any healthcare to women.
Well, don’t want to ruin your day.
80% of what the Mafia/(’60s era) Black Panthers/the Nazi Party (Godwin alert!)/and the Unabomber did were nice too. Why quibble about that other stuff? Are we now purists or something?
The pill is linked to breast cancer.
Without the faith of the persecuted, narrow minded, tunnel focused, stupid Puritans this nation formed to protect the faithful, persecuted, narrow minded, stupid Puritans and the constitution which permits freedom of speech would not exist.
No sensible person compares Trump to Hitler. That is not the analogy. Planned Barrenhood is an ongoing institution in our time of a holocaust against the unborn which has (together with independent killing mills) counted 60+ million corpses to date by surgical means alone.
Given their history, given Margaret Sanger's appearances at Ku Klux Klan rallies in the 1920s, given its cheerleading for the Third Reich, its parting out of dead babies for profit (gotta buy those Lamborghinis) and a wide variety of other abuses, Planned Barrenhood no more deserves to survive than did the Third Reich or the Ku Klux Klan. Planned Barrenhood kills on a broader scale than either and is funded with our TAX dollars courtesy of the craven cowards calling themselves "Republicans" or even "Catholics" in Washington such as Ryan-o and Boehner and Susan Collins and Pelosi and DeLauro and and so many, many more of either claimed persuasion.
Trump's problem is that he does not care about social issues and is probably mystified as to why so many conservatives care more about the social issues than about the ability of businesses to fatten their bottom line. Necessarily Trump gets it as to the cheap labor express (for the most part), gets it as to the rage of Americans at the purposeful destruction of our society and its economy and its reasonable expectations as to stopping the ongoing degeneration of our civilization. Social and moral issues are not part of his reality.
43 years after Roe vs. Wade, we are fed up with waiting. We have learned not to trust rhetoric as to the babies any more than we trust promises to build the wall (other than Trump because his campaign success is sooooo much the result of his promises to end illegal immigration). Your passionate desire to engage in whatever rationalizations seem necessary to you to get The Donald into the White House is, perhaps, enough for you, but not for others. When laws are enacted to prevent the UNJUSTIFIED homicide of people who have already been born, we do not make exceptions and we do not fund the killers because they might set aside a few bucks to give puppies to kids.
What do you suppose are "discrete services?" "Clinical visits" for what purposes? "2.7 million patients" for what procedures or purposes? They claim to do pap smears but are generally not licensed to do so.
All or nothing is the right approach to crushing communism, nazism and eugenicism and therefore Planned Barrenhood.
Whatever you want from politics is not likely to become yours unless social conservatives approve of your candidate in November, assuming he is on the ballot. We have not gone away and we aren't going to go away.
