A video that can only be described as "dog-eat-robo-dog."
Titled "Fido vs. Spot," the YouTube video features a (very animal-friendly, very safe) brawl between what appears to be a tiny terrier and a quadruped droid (for viewers at home: Spot is the AI robot, and Fido is, well, Fido just kidding, his name is Alex).
According to the vid description, the bot is the work of Google's Boston Dynamics group, and the only quadruped "outside of the military."

I have one of the original Sony AIBO robo-dogs.
When we got a real dog, I left the AIBO sitting on its charger unused for a while.
One day, I turned it on.
Little adorable Teddy FREAKED OUT.
I figure his was about the same reaction yours would be if the furniture just got up and started wandering around.
Please, no. Not again.
Lame.
I had a friend with a dog like that. It would bark at anything. Bug on the sidewalk - bark like crazy. Leaf blowing on the grass - nonstop barking. Snow falling - bark, bark, bark.... I don’t know how they could stand it.
Yeah, but the robo-dog could not bark! ;-)
We had a Shetland Sheep Dog. They bark a lot.....at just about anything. My wife used to try to get the dog to stop barking.
I told her that the dog has only one way to communicate audibly, barking and growling. “Do you want to take that away from her?”
The wife relented.
Ahhhh, the good 'ol days. **sigh**
And look at us now. d;^)
