When Clinton Township firefighters responded to a medical call a couple of weeks ago, they encountered a family in dire need of help.
The family, struggling to pay their bills, included two disabled children, and the house had no electricity because the parents had fallen behind on their payment installments.
Thats when one of the firefighters -- who wanted to remain anonymous -- took it upon himself to pay the familys electricity bill in full on his own..........

I thought I would ping you to a local special interest story........
Nice story. Thanks. :)
Since you know the guy please explain - Ryan set up Master Lawn Care, which now has 1200 customers, but went back to the Fire Dept. also? How does he have time for both jobs?
Anyway, this is how Civil Society and local-rule at the lowest level works.
I’ve known firefighters with lawn care companies.
They work 72 hours straight, then have 4 days off in a row.
Lots of time to work a second job/business.
Remember a bad day of lawn care includes breakdowns and rain.
A bad day as a firefighter has the potential to be MUCH more serious.
” How does he have time for both jobs?”
=
I would assume he has good managers and employees, just like Trump.

Thanks for the diversion from the election....I needed that.
This young man is a truly special kind of person.
The irony is that property taxes (to pay public union insane benefits and pensions) on this nothing special house is probably north of $12,000/year (that is considered “low” in NJ).
Imagine how much money this family would have to pay for their own electricity if the public unions would have 401ks like the rest of us...
It's due to their work schedules. In major metropolitan areas where they have permanent fire departments, they'll work maybe 48 to 72 hours straight where they have to live in the firehall then they have several days off.......unlike rural fire departments which are staffed by volunteers and are on call.
In fact, the guy who worked on my air conditioning compressor two summers ago is a Detroit fireman who also has a small heating and cooling company.
Wow!
Thanks very much, Hot Tabasco. HOORAY Ryan McCuen. Great story. I know some firefighters. Some of those I know are working additional jobs, where they can schedule around their main job. The ones I know are very solid citizens. I know some of their families, parents, brothers and sisters. Some I coached in youth baseball. I still see them at my current job.
