I think the low turnout is because most democrats would be happy enough with either of their candidates. Many undecideds and many Anybody-But-A-Republicans. We shouldn’t be lulled into thinking fewer democrats now means fewer in November.

Here’s the thing: if Democrats want to vote in Republican primaries in some States they have to be registered as Republicans, right?
So why hasn’t everyone been talking as if this is their version of Operation: Chaos (per Limbaugh) where they cross over, vote in primaries for those they consider loons, and then vote for Democrats come general election time?
They will undoubtedly resurrect themselves as the new National Socialist Democrat Party since they have been heading that way for years.
Easy. Democrats crossing over to get Trump the nomination. Hillary will be able to get them back.
The Democrat party has been pushing liberalism so hard for so long, that their base has been driven completely insane.
When one of the signature issues of a political party is to literally remove the identity between biological male and female and make that a matter of opinion, you know it's in trouble.
Most people, even lifelong Dem voters and even, dare I say, liberals, aren't going to buy into that.
Being forced to choose between a felon and a commie in their own primary must be a drag for many.
