All these things are true. But one thing that Trump is NOT is a Republican, and I don’t see why he’s being allowed to run as one. He accepts none of the principles or polices of the Republican Party.
Someone in another article said that he’s basically using the GOP as a place to run a third-party candidacy, and I think that’s an accurate description.
I agree that Trump should be opposed. I agree with this: “A vote for Trump is a vote against the principles that Republicanism and conservatism are built on.” And I am appalled at Trump saying that he wants to “open up” libel laws to include what he deems are “negative” articles. The First Amendment protects free political speech. Trump, in my opinion, is a Big Government autocrat at heart. I don’t trust him to think, speak, act, or govern as a limited-government, Tenth-Amendment, social and constitutional conservative.
