5 dead in Washington shooting, including gunman

BELFAIR, Wash. -- Authorities say a gunman killed four people in a home in rural Washington state before fatally shooting himself after an hourslong standoff.

Mason County sheriff's Chief Deputy Ryan Spurling says the gunman had called 911 on Friday to say he shot and killed his family. A girl who survived has been taken to the hospital.

I am not normally a conspiracy theorist. But is it interesting that these occur just after the death of Scalia. I'm willing to chalk it up to a general uptick in evil.

And it will keep getting worse and worse until abortion is abolished off the face of this earth.

Was it a Democrat?

Maybe after 8 years of economic depression folks are finally cracking and choosing suicide by cop.

I see what you mean; sort of surreal; biggest patch of forest on the ring of otherwise densely populated areas around Puget Sound. Got to wonder how that area alone avoided suburban sprawl.

There are thousands of acres of private timber land around here, for which they paid about two cents an acre back before statehood. The 100 year old sawmill in our town of 8000 just closed and 275 people got laid off - a pretty heavy hit to any community.
