I hope you’re a defense lawyer.
There is censorship to maintain respectability. Otherwise, you just become Stormfront-lite. Americans aren’t really happy right now and we have strong, un-pc opinions. Probably for the best.
Now son, that there is an interesting story. The way I figger it, if you been reading FR for years, well then you would know the answer to those questions.
Keep the finger near the zot button fellas, don’t like the sound o’ this one.
Owner lives in California, for one thing. Everything is super expensive out there.
A couple of years ago, FR had a big outage that took many hours to fix. I don’t remember the details, but a lot of new equipment had to be purchased and put on the air in a short time.
There is a lot of traffic here. The amount of server rack space must be considerable. Also bandwidth.
There are no ads here, which means all costs must be borne by member donations.
I don’t know what sites you’re comparing to. Most of the free ones have extensive adware, pop-ups, and the like. None of those are present here.
I think “self-police” is what is happening when comments are deleted...
Some of the deleted posts could be duplicates....or have content that is copyrighted.
Step back. Look at the big picture. You aren’t part of it.
Your people I do not understand
So to you I wish to put an end
And you'll never hear surf music again.
A lawyer test for you.... Is Cruz a ‘natural born’ US citizen?
There is ZERO advertising on this website.
Ever.
There are no ads. Ever. There have never been any ads. Ever. Finally what we have here, is the single freest Conservative message board anywhere on God’s green earth.
Lay off the fundraising. It is how this site operates, and I believe it is why even now, it continues to be an independent voice of real conservativism.
Very, very rare.
Jim Thompson does a fine job of things around here.
After 18 years they censor before posting me. I don’t use foul language or attack people. I express my disgust for Trump.
It may seem like I’m nitpicking about punctuation, but I’m not. I only want to know if you were asking a certain question: You wrote “Why is there censorship?” I think you meant this as a follow up to the previous sentence. I think you were saying “Why (does it cost so much money to run this site)...Is there censorship?
I too have wondered why it takes ongoing funding, but, then, I admittedly do not know what it takes to build, design, and maintain such a news forum. It’s remarkable that this can be done without a whole lot of advertising. I, personally, could tolerate a small amount of advertising, so long as it didn’t end up like The Blaze, where the pop-up ads just about prevent you from reading the articles. Breitbart better watch it as well, for the same reasons. Most times I visit Breitbrt, those blasted pop-up insergents chase me away after a few minutes of viewing.
None of your business, jerk. This is private property.
.
For example: I think the illegals should be rounded up by armed squads and shoved into circus cannons to be shot over the 100 foot wall made of Kryptonite I want built. See? that got through.
Yawn.
Because, without moderation (incl. occasional censorship), every high-profile / popular / controversial site becomes a cloaca.
Regards,
This site does not censor.
But it does clean up some messes.
I mean, do we need ad hominem’s — serve no purpose, distracting, be gone, please and thank you.
[ If you had been around much, you would see the horrible stuff that makes it, tho. ]
Do you think cowgirls enjoy riding ponies?
Do you like gladiator movies?
Have you heard the lawyers bangin on their drums?
Have ya seen the policemen playing with their guns?
I’ve never seen nothing like you
Tell us about the servers you use on your websites. Do you sell advertising? I really love those sites with so many pop ups its like a denial of service attack.
And last, has someone FORCED you to pay a dime to be here? If you don’t want to pay, then don’t.
Frigging lawyer. I thought I might be one, but they said I couldn’t because my parents were married.
