Can we expand it? I’m on a fruit crumble craze.

But if anyone has a decent, old-fashioned Ambrosia recipe, I’d love to read it.

Ambrosia is one I've never made, and I don't think I've eaten it anywhere; and looking it up, there seem to be endless variations. But whenever someone wants an 'old-fashioned' or 'traditional' recipe, I go to Fanny Farmer, or to an old edition of 'The Joy of Cooking'. Here's one from 'Joy':

I also found this at Yankee Magazine, but it includes nuts, and I'm not sure that's traditional:

1 #505 can of fruit cocktail, drained
2 #10 scoops - well rounded - of vanilla ice cream
1 cup Galliano

Stick or cup blender until well mixed, pour into champagne saucers, and freeze.

Top with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg for serving.
