Business mogul Donald Trump is optimistic about the future of New York City if Democratic candidate Bill de Blasio wins the mayoral election.
“I think pretty strongly that he’ll end up being a good mayor, maybe a very good mayor and I don’t think he’s going to want to kill the golden goose,” Trump told an Albany radio station Thursday, according to the New York Daily News.

“I think he’s a smart guy that knows what’s going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York,” Trump said. “I think he is going to want to make New York great.”
De Blasio has been leading his Republican opponent, Joe Lhota, in the polls by a staggering margin.
As for his own political future, the newspaper reported that Trump remained vague repeating he is not interested in running for governor of New York, but said 2016 might be possible if the “right person” does not step forward.

Donald Trump blasted Mayor de Blasio Monday as being "the worst Mayor in the United States" in a Twitter rant coming a day after Hizzoner took his own shot at the mogul.
"N.Y.C. has the worst Mayor in the United States. I hate watching what is happening with the dirty streets, the homeless and crime! Disgrace," the 2016 Republican frontrunner tweeted.
How dare you bring up things he’s actually said!!!!! Especially when he’s said it about Communists.
I believe he gave Comrade DeBloodio money.

Just playing devil’s advocate here. Trump has to play ball to get things done in New York. He would say good things about ANYONE in New York public office.

Anyone who supports Trump needs to stop calling themselves conservative. He has praised and/or given money to nearly every Left Wing Democrat and even Comrade DeBlasio.
Trump is a Democrat Trojan Horse, except the Greek soldiers are not hidden inside, but riding on the horse’s back, yelling “Death to Troy!”
Trump is a B.S.er and a user.
As a real estate mogul making his money in NY City he was certainly not going to go on record against a new mayor who could make his business environment very difficult.
As a businessman he uses situations and people to further his interests.
As a president, as long as his interests coincided with what is best for America his strengths could work to “Make America Great Again”.
Trump endorsed Romney early on.
He endorsed Mitch in 2014 in glowing terms.
He talked about his good Obama would be.
He said of a Reagan in 1987:

Trump is smoke and mirrors. The rubes love it.
That was when he was deciding if he wanted to run as a Democrat or a Republican, wanted to keep his options open, kind of a wait n’ see.
Yep. Right or wrong that’s how you successfully operate at those levels of business. How to win friends and influence people.
Your defense is he has no integrity, ethics or spine?
As a businessman who needs NYC cooperation to go about his real estate business, PRIOR to his candidacy, he made nice with Wilhelm-DiBlasio.. He got things done for the shareholders of his companies and as president will get things done for Americans.

2013 he was supporting a liberal democrat for Mayor instead of the Republican in the race. Just like Clinton, Just like Soros, Just like Obamma.
2013 he was heaping praise on De Blasio
2015 he is now saying he is the worst mayor in the United States...
He is a New York City Liberal playing a conservative to get the Republican nomination... this wasn’t several years ago...
One month after he heaps praise on De Blasio, De Blasio starts outlining his liberal agenda.
What conservative of any kind whatsoever whould have anything nice to say about De BLasio.
I do not believe Trump has evolved here, I think he is just putting on a show.
