My people are from Maine. We used to go up there and always make a midnight run through the Freeport store, handling everything in sight, so when we went to order, we knew what it looked like. Great stuff. The night shift people were great customer service, would do anything for you. Never had a bad experience. Bought some decks shoes once that I beat the hell out of and after 3 years, needed to get new ones. I was on the phone with a gal and she said just send those back I’ll send you a new pair. And they did.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I had a friend who was a State Senator in Connecticut who connected with Linda Bean as a contributor when he ran for Congress in a nearly impossible district. She not only made substantial contributions to his campaign but also had him and his wife come to Maine as house guests and treated them like royalty, They could not say enough good things about her. What you describe are reasons why that business has been such a success.
God bless you and yours!
