But the aging comic book guys really turned out. It’s sort of a post comic book comic book movie. If you’re tired of the tropes of the standard movies, this makes fun of them.
VERY hard R, too.

I betcha the trailer was aimed at the pre-teen groups.
I hate to break this to you, but if you think Comics are read by primarily kids these days you don’t know the demographics... Comics are $4 a pop or more. Kids are a very solid minority of the Comic Book audience. Deadpool in particular has never been targeted at kids.
Most comic book readers are adults.

You would be surprised at the number of parents who take their kids to see such filth.
Saw it opening weekend...deserves the R in a big way, yet I still saw a large number of parents with their 6-12 year olds. I went with my 17 year old and had to clench my jaw more than a few times.
Hilarious but a hard R and not acceptable for under 16 with or without parents IMHO.
