In terms of process, he strikes me as much more a Democrat than a Republican. He has no permanent or guiding principles, he adopts whatever sells. In 2002 he supported the Iraq war, in 2016 he accused W or lying about WMD, without a pause. His position on eminent domain shifts with the wind, but as far as I am concerned, no conservative can support eminent domain for the purpose of “economic development”.

And we would do fine the dumb ass gimme crowd on the Democratic side. He saw that the electorate was fed up with Obama and didn’t want to take on a vulnerable Hillary in the primary.

He’s not a patriot, he’s not a principled conservative, he doesn’t respect private property or the rule of law. We might just as well elect Bernie Sanders as this crony capitalist.

Now those are some of the most serious questions we can contemplate. Seriously.

I want to see those questions put to the candidates in the next debate. I’m serious.

For starter's, I've never viewed Donald Trump as a demonic-rat, so I would have personally found any announcement by him to launch a presidential run under the auspices of the democrat party a total joke!

TRUMP'S TAX PLAN flies in the faces of the DEMONIC-RAT PARTY

TRUMP'S IMMIGRATION PLAN PUTS A STOP TO THE GROWTH OF THE DEMONIC-RAT PARTY

DEMONIC-RATS HATE OUR 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHTS. YOU SHOULD READ NRA MEMBER DONALD TRUMP'S POSITIONS

When Trump announced his presidential run on June 16th of 2015, if he had announced he was running for the DEMOCRATIC nomination, would it have be unbelievable?

If Trump were running as a Democrat (or independent) AND if he still said the same things about immigration, terrorism, taxes, jobs, and trade, then Trump would be stomping Hillary in the Democrat party nomination process, just as he is stomping his GOP rivals.

The purists just can't seem to wrap their mind around the fact that Trump's candidacy is not about Democrats or Republicans. It's about Americans taking their country back from the establishment of both parties.

As I've said before: Trump has not run a very clean campaign. He has been his own worst enemy. If Trump showed a little more decorum (without caving to political correctness), he would be totally unstoppable.

As it is, he's still doing amazingly well, but he is vulnerable.

If I could wave my hands and install a President from the pool of available candidates, I'd pick Ted Cruz first, and Trump second. But it's not my job to capture the voters' imagination for Ted Cruz. Ted has to do that himself. Thus far, Trump is clearly more in touch with voter anger, and Ted Cruz is appealing to a narrower range of voters. This would be a problem for Cruz in the general election as well.

If Donald Trump can continue to act more "Presidential", he will mop the floor with Hillary in the general election, because he will attack, and attack effectively, and not just try to just play nice.

First, the (D)onald didn’t have a tax plan when he announced, so he could have gone either way with the plan he finally put together.

But, even after announcing his plan, it contains two features that democrats LOVE:

1. It is progressive
2. It ensures that a large swath of Americans don’t pay taxes

I disagree that Trump has ever attacked effectively. His attacks come off as boorish and off-putting to many.

He has touchback amnesty in his plan.

Once you have to resort to miss characterizing (ie lie) Trumps position, you have lost any credibility with all but your little echo chamber. You don't start off a post with "Serious Question" and immediately start in with lies.

Actually I think you’re a shill undermining support for Donald by trying to create FUD, and I’ll prove it right now. Trump’s main policy position had been to build a wall and kick out the illegal Mexicans.

Where is that anything but the OPPOSITE of the Democrat platform?

Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Well obviously Santa Claus would win. What do you think the fur on his suit is made of?

>>Anyone that thinks Trump is running as a crypto-democrat is either a fool or a tool.

Couldn’t they be both. A foolish tool.

Demanding the end of outsourcing ...

Exactly how does a government go about ending outsourcing?

I disagree that Trump has ever attacked effectively. His attacks come off as boorish and off-putting to many.

And yet look where Trump stands. By your own reasoning, therefore, Trump still has a lot of upside with regard to his campaigning prowess.

If the current state of the GOP nomination process is the result of Donald Trump being ineffective, just imagine what will happen if he ever achieves actual effectiveness!

Really? Based on what? Immigration alone? Dissent on ONE topic could easily be explained as the "moderate" part.

Really? Based on what? The NUMBER of topics? Do you weigh books to determine their value? Do you think all topics are equal to voters? Are you completely unaware that most Americans now recognize immigration as THE issue destroying this country?

Pffft. You outed yourself.

Serious Question: If you could do anything in the world what would you do? Now contemplate that and ask yourself why you are posting silly vanities that have no real point other than to instigate.

Trump could have easily sold his touchback amnesty to the democrats since touchback amnesty is still amnesty.

Hillary’s turn was in 2008. I’m still finding humor in that.

What is this “touchback” crap? Provide evidence where Trump discusses illegals, amnesty, and “touchback.” We need to see the video or interview discussing this.
